Great mower! Plenty of power with the Kohler EFI!
About Me Professional
Comments about Husqvarna M-ZT 61:
As a professional, I was looking for a lighter weight good value (bang for the buck) mower to use on residential accounts. The mower has the features I was looking for especially the EFI engine to help save on fuel costs. This mower should serve well for everything but extremely harsh mowing conditions. I would recommend the mower for large land owners and professionals whose routes mainly consists small to fairly large residential properties.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased this machine to replace my 60" yazoo and I'm extremely disappointed. First of all the standard seat is cheap and offers no cushioning, after a while on this machine my back is aching, the whole ride is extremely harsh, even with tires inflated at minimum pressure. For the price we pay, the seat should be vastly improved. Even with the large tires the machine gets stuck on any uneven terrain. The roll cage is too high even when folded and is above your head and dangerous if you have low branched trees, you can flip the machine right over if you hit a branch. The cut for a 60" mower is sub par, the deck doesn't float enough and even if you make wide turns it leaves a trail of uncut grass Yes, its very fast but what good is that when you are forced to go slow to avoid breaking your back and then have to recut all the areas where you made turns. The grass is thrown way to far which forces you to make numerous cuts away from things like a inground pool, so you end up with layers of cut grass all over the lawn where you cut in opposite directions. My 30 year old Yazoo would outperform the zero turn in every aspect except speed. I regret buying it period!!!

I bought the M-ZT61 to replace my LGT2654 to mow nearly 3.5 acres. I was a little concerned at first because my LGT had a 26HP Kohler and this has a 23HP Kawasaki. Fear not, the Kawasaki is a beast and dare I say quieter?!I cut my mowing time from 2.5hrs to just over an hour! However, all that productivity comes at a cost and that would be lumbar fractures and bruised kidneys. This is my only complaint. The seat is horrible!! Husqvarna should really make a suspension seat standard on any of their 10mph+ mowers. Also, a 12v power adapter would be nice.

Cuts great, Easy to use, quiet, but issue with safety switch
from St. Paul
My unit started right up, but when I went to release the parking break the mower died. I called the service dept where I purchased it from and he said he has seen this before. It was the sensor in the seat, I had to remove the center part of the plug for the sensor to make good contact, Once I did that the mower ran great. I cut 2.5 acres of grass and it had plenty of power to go through 8 inch tall grass. Mower is quiet, hydraulic units make a bit of noise so I am not sure if that is normal.Husky needs to address the sensor in the seat.Overall I am happy with this mower so far.
