I spent several weeks if not a couple months researching my tractor purchase before buying. Take my word for it... you will not find a better value than this tractor. Other manufacturers sell tractors with these options for hundreds if not a couple thousand more than this tractor is priced.I have a little over 7 hours on this tractor now and feel great about my purchase. The Tuff Torque K66 is a great tranny and the locking diff is a nice option, although I've only used it a couple times as the tractor provides excellent traction without it. The B&S engine provides plenty of power and engine is smooth. The steering, though not power, is still light and comfortable. I have been considering purchasing a steering spinner as I believe it will be a nice addition. This mower has the tightest turning you will find on a mower this size. It truly is unbelievable how maneuverable it is. The rear hitch plate is incredibly strong and is very heavy duty. Fit and finish is terrific, seat is nice and comfy. I'm 6' 3" and 260 lbs., seat provides nice support and leg room is not an issue. The arm rest are a nice touch.I love this tractor however it is not without its faults. First the fuel gauge/window is a joke and does not work as intended. Second, the battery minder/status feature will run your battery down. I simply unplugged it on the back. The deck rub the bottom of the floor board on the right side. Before you ask, yes I have checked, the deck is level and setup correctly. The mandrel cover on the right side is taller than the left side. That is why only the right side rubs. It only does this when the deck is in the highest position. Most of these issues have been well documented.I hope this review helps others, I wish Husqvarna would keep their website up to date and have more detailed specs on their mowers published. None the less, I am happy and expect to get many, many years of service out of this tractor.

Such a disappointment this tractor is. I had a Craftsman YT for 8 years. Through spring, summer, fall, and Colorado winters it started 100% of the time without flaw. This tractor I purchased for the rear diff, larger deck, and a couple of other features. In under a year I've had constant problems starting it. Even with a special charger (additional charge) for this terrible battery/starter I still have problems. This isn't a cell phone why should I need a charger to begin with? This is the first product review I have ever written, I felt compelled to try and save others immense frustration on a substantial investment. Avoid this sucker!

Comments about Husqvarna GT52XLSi:
Tractor with 40 Hours on it. It doesn't have the power or the cutting ability to handle low density weeds and prairie grass in Colorado despite Dealer assurances. Have to manually load it up to take it to shop as it has a fuel leak and won't start. Anyone want a slightly used lawn tractor. Cheap.

I've had both but issues with this tractor. Flat tires, horrible screeching coming from front wheels, front end skidding when turned, battery drain, mowing deck fell off while mowing and threw me from the tractor, you get the idea... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS PIECE OF JUNK. Husqvarna, stick to the small stuff. Tractors are NOT your forte.
The Best tractor in its class for the cost.

About Me Professional
I am very satisfied with this new tractor. It performs very well with plenty of power, it is well made, and it cuts beautifully. The transmission is incredible, I never need to engage the electronic locking differential. The only negative comment I have is that it does leave a very small line of uncut grass between the blades for some reason. I have the 52 inch deck. I have to overlap to get that line of uncut grass which does increase the cutting time and wastes extra gas. I do not know if this is an issue with the 52 inch deck only or it effects all of their decks. It is not a big deal to me. You need to wash the deck after every cut or it will get clogged like every other mower. It has a wash port to connect a hose and does a great job of cleaning the deck. The best part of this gt is its great style and looks.

Purchased a husquvana 2 years ago because of good reviews. However after 40 hours of mowing time, the transmission has gone out. Mower is advertised as having a 3 year transmission warranty but is pretty much falsely advertised because it depends on the type transmission the mower is built with.
Nothing but problems

Bought this mower thinking it would be a little more heavy duty than the home improvement store models. Had this mower for 3 years only has 92 hrs on it. PTO has been replaced by dealer twice under warranty. Mower spent more than 3 months in shop each time because the dealership can't seem to get the parts. First time to try and mow this spring and what to my surprise the PTO is not functioning again. Mower needs to be kept on charger constantly to keep battery from draining. Loads of other small issues (headlights, special order blades, terrible keyless start, flat tires.... Way more problems than any mower with less than 100 hrs should have. At this point I would feel guilty selling it. Might be the most disappointed I have ever been with a product and customer service. Does have plenty of power though.
Nice unit would not recommend!

I have a GT48XLSi, like the tractor except for 1) first time used unit the cruise conteol broke, service rep said rod was put in backwards, 2) there is a wobble in the one rear wheel, serviceman said the spindle was welded on axle a little off, but not off enough for them to fix. The kind of money the unit costs I don't believe I should have to have a wobbly rear wheel. The rear wheels were switched so it is not the wheel but the axle problem!

Satisfied with Snow Blower attachment. Not happy with Mower Deck at all. Large deck but tires and weight of unit pushed down grass and blades do not lift enough so you need to do two passé to get a good CUT making a 54 inch deck actually only 27 inches - Ridiculous. Dealer sold me High lift blades and that did not work. Problem unresolved. After 14 hours on meter I went to check the air filter and bolt was rusted together and stripped out the insert molded into the plastic shroud. Also have starting issues in winter with temps under 25 degrees. I would expect some of these problems with some low cost off brand name unit.

I purchased this model because of the locking differential which I needed to climb the hills on my backyard AND I was hoping this model would prove a viable option to a 4x4 drive train. I'm happy to say this model has exceeded my expectation and I now have 100 hours on the tractor with no major issues. The torq differential in combination with the locking capability provides ample power and control whether going up or down the hills, which are probably 15 degrees. I really appreciate the foot pedals for easily moving from forward to reverse gear. I especially like the reserve gas tank feature which I've used on a couple of occasions far enough from home that a walk would have been unpleasant. Air circulation is better than with my older model and I now get less accumulation of dust and dirt around the engine. My only issue with the tractor is the adjustment of the mower deck. I cut all of my yard on one setting for 3 inches and if I drive over uneven or bumpy terrain, the deck will lift and hit the frame of the tractor. I've checked the adjustment several times and believe it to be a design default. As someone else has opined, I don't know why they waste adjustments for .5-1.5 inches as I can't imagine anyone cutting grass that close. Also, I tend to bump into the height adjustment lever when exiting the tractor. It would have been nice if the lever was about 3 inches shorter given I never adjust the height unless to drop the deck for cleaning.

Proven machine for winter, spring, and summer
from Oxford CT
I research like crazy and read reviews on everything. The reviews prior to buy this tractor were mixed. Some negative reviews I think are from sky high expectations or lack of mechanical knowledge. Its a machine meant to work, things break. Finally made the leap and so far I've been happy with 16 hours on it. Sure, it costs a lot but considering its equivalent JD x500 model is several $1000 more, my few issues w/ it don't phase me. Couldn't justify the green. Power is plenty for all it does. Turning radius is great. Heavy duty feeling unit. The locking diff. is great and comes in handy for so many things. Surprisingly, I don't need it much in the winter except on my steep driveway incline. The tractor handles the snow and 42" snow blower well. It hauled dirt, mulch, etc in the over filled lawn cart like a champ. So far it cuts grass nice. If there is some uneven cuts or scalping its from using the wide 52" deck on a very hilly and uneven yard...its the nature of the beast. I think the key is proper set up, deck leveling, blade sharpening. It cakes grass in the deck just as any other deck does. I haven't used the wash out port but never have on any mower. I just blast it with a garden hose nozzle. My issues: The led lights seem bright but don't really throw bright light far. I was able to snow blow my pitch black driveway with them but wish they were much brighter. Really no tractor lights are "OMG" spotlight bright. The smart key system is a gimmick if you ask me. It works fine so far but I can care less about all its features. It becomes a pain to constantly enter a security code and wearing gloves you may "fat finger" the wrong code several times. I wish I had this exact tractor with a regular key. Sometimes the motor requires a 2nd or extended crank to start it, Don't think anything is wrong, just the nature of the motor. Its trivial and doesn't phase me but for some reason when brand new with 0 hours the Husqvarna hood symbol was already peeling off it irked me.
