I bought this mower to do trim work around my home and to mow some banks at my home. The mower was really simple to put together. It starts really easy and it is light and maneuverable. These are the things I was hoping for. However it has become what I call my one way mower. As I said I bought it to mow some banks around my property but if you try to mow from right to left across a bank you better hope it is not to steep as the mower will quit. As long as you go from left to right (with the gas tank on the up hill side) the mower runs just fine but if you go the other way with the gas tank on the down hill side the mower has a tendency to cut out and quit, and if it does quit it is difficult to restart. For this reason I am very disappointed with my purchase. This is a bug that Husqvarna needs to fix.If you are looking at this mower to mow back and forth across banks, look for another mower.

Safety Issue - electrical connection problems
By John B

About Me Do-It-Yourself
Comments about LC121P:
After one summer of usage (roughly 20 mows of a 1/3 acre), there is an electrical connection that is not working properly. The handle bar that you hold down run a cable down to the engine. Underneath the shroud, this cable connects to a linkage so that when you release the handle, a connection is made which is supposed to stop the engine. Except that connection isn't working properly, and the engine doesn't stop. This is a safety issue! I'm a design engineer of mechanical consumer products for my own career. This needs to be fixed.

About Me Professional
If you are looking for a low quality mower, this is the one. The handle is very flimsy, the engine has a tinging noise, the bag has the worst design I have ever seen (when you take it off to dump the grass a lot it ends up on the sidewalk. Finally, it does not suck up the grass clipping every well. It leaves a trail of clipping behind the mower even if the grass is not very tall. If you are looking for mower that leaves your lawn with a professional cut this is not the mower for you. If you want a mower the will suck up all the clippings no matter how wet or if the length of the grass is 3"-4" long, I recommend you buy a Snapper Hi Vac, it's worth the money. I learned the hard way.
First Time Husqie Buyer and I'm Very Happy So Far
By EHill 80 grip

Right out of the box this mower started up immediately, and has started with one pull every single time for eight months of weekly mowing since. Some reviewers complain of sputtering and dying right away, and unfortunately they may have gotten a bad one, but Husqvarna stands behind their product as well as the stores who sell them, so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. And for those people wanting to mow river banks or acres of farmland, well they should probably invest in a little more heavy duty mower. But for a couple hundred bucks this model will knock out your usual suburban weekly lawn work no problem, and I'm pretty happy with this unit so far. If things change I'll jump back on here later and update, but I'd say this is a solid purchase. I've also bought a Husqie gas powered blower since, and am thinking of stepping up to their gas powered weed whacker.
No I wouldn't buy again

The grassbag is the most horrible I've ever seen...dust comes right through to the operator...mesh is so thin it blows right through...disgusting and a piece of garbage

I've had my mower since last summer (2016). I have 7 acres and keep 5 acres cut. I mow 1-2 hours a day, 2-3 days a week, using only 1 tank per week. I'm just now putting on new blades, as we live in a very sandy area. I will service it this weekend with an oil change and air filter, for the first time since buying. I have had not 1 issue with this mower. I brought it home, put it together, added the oil and it started on the 3rd pull. Since then, it starts on the 2nd pull every time. It is the most easiest and dependable lawn mower I've ever owned. Signed,A 40 year old woman
Great mower for the price
I specifically bought this mower because I've always had good luck with Briggs and Stratton engines and wanted a low-maintenance lawn mower. Height adjustment is a breeze due to the light mower deck and big adjustment handles. Fuel-burn varies with thickness of grass throughout the year; I tend to go through more gas in the spring than summer and have to mow once a week, and the oil consumption is slim to none compared to other mowers/small engines I've had over the years. ONLY USE NON-ETHANOL FUEL. IF USING REGULAR (gas pump) FUEL, USE A STABILIZER WITH ETHANOL INHIBITOR TO PREVENT MOISTURE. I've used gas-pump 87 octane for years and always add STA-BIL 360 to ensure the fuel is fresh and ethanol-free. I used the oil the mower came with to break the engine in over a few hours and then changed it to a high-quality synthetic oil (Amsoil 0W30) as the manual recommends for the "no oil change" engine. I haven't changed it in 2 years and have only needed to add just a tiny amount. Overall, this is an excellent machine. My only issue has been having to adjust and re-torque the frame-to-handle bolts because my yard is rough and hilly. Just take care of it and do what the manual recommends for maintenance.

After using it three times it will not start. I've changed the fuel, checked spark plug, and air filter. All fine. Spray some carb cleaner inside and it will start up for a second then stop. Poor quality all around.

Besides the fuel needs of this mower it operates perfect in fact it is mind blowing. This spring (2017) marks the 2nd season I have used the mower. On the first pull the mower started up after sitting all winter. I have yet to find one fault. It truly goes above the call of duty. I personally wouldn't just recommend this mower I would buy it over and over. Truely a great engineered piece of equipment.
