How to attach and remove a broom on your ride-on mower

Your ride-on mower comes with a large range of attachments that you can use for different tasks. If you want to use it for cleaning, you will need to use the broom. Here is how to attach and remove it:

Removing and attaching the broom on the R200-series ride-on mower

  1. Put the height adjustment lever in service position
  2. Lower the cutting deck
  3. Remove the cutting deck according to instructions
  4. Lift broom to align
  5. Reuse bolts from the cutting deck
  6. Exit service position
  7. Attach position lock bracket to the cutting deck rod
  8. Open the cover to get access to the belt pulley and tensioner
  9. Place the drive belt in position
  10. Mount the safety cover

Removing and attaching the broom on the R300-series ride-on mower

  1. Remove the cutting deck according to the instruction
  2. Lift the broom to align
  3. Press the frame to release the lock
  4. Lift the broom in outer position to get access to installation
  5. Attach the position lock bracket to the cutting height rod
  6. Place the drive belt in position
  7. Push the broom into position
  8. Place the belt over pulley
  9. Manually rotate the belt until it slips into position
  10. Mount the safety cover
  11. Pull the belt tensioner into position
