What to call your mower

When you give commands to your mower, you can use the following names (for example):

  • Automower or mower (if you have only one mower in your Google Home)
  • the mower name, such as Hawaii as in the examples below. The mower name is specified in the Automower® Connect app, under My mowers > Mower details. We recommend that you choose a mower name that is easy to pronounce. Then it is easier for Google Assistant to pick up the command without misunderstandings.
  • all Automowers or all mowers (if you have several mowers added to your Google Home).

Commands

Start/Resume

Starts the mower according to schedule, for example if the mower is currently paused or parked. The command will only start the mower immediately if the mower is scheduled to run. If the mower is parked in the charging station, it will start when the battery is sufficiently charged.

When using the command, you will be asked for the Google pin code. To set a Google pin code, open the Automower® Connect app, tap the menu icon and select Account > Google pin code and enter a four-digit code.

Example:

  • Start Automower
  • Start Hawaii
  • Start all my mowers
  • Resume mower

If someone has pressed the STOP button on your mower, Google Assistant cannot restart the mower. Instead, you have to enter the pin-code on the mower keypad and close the hatch to restart it.

Start for X hours/minutes

Overrides the current schedule and starts the mower immediately for the specified period of time. If the mower is parked in the charging station, it will start when the battery is sufficiently charged.

When using the command, you will be asked for the Google pin code. To set a Google pin code, open the Automower® Connect app, tap the menu icon and select Account > Google pin code and enter a four-digit code.

Example:

  • Start mower for 45 minutes
  • Start all mowers for 2 hours

If someone has pressed the STOP button on your mower, Google Assistant cannot restart the mower. Instead, you have to enter the pin-code on the mower keypad and close the hatch to restart it.

Park

Makes your mower go back to the charging station and stay there during this mowing session.

When the next scheduled mowing session starts (for example the following day), the park command is not valid anymore and your mower will start mowing your lawn again according to schedule.

Example:

  • Park Automower
  • Dock Hawaii
  • Send the lawn mower home
  • Park all my mowers

Pause

Pauses your mower where it is until you give it a new command. When you use a pause command, you can easily restart your mower with Google Assistant or the Automower® Connect app.

If you want to pause your mower for more than 25 minutes, we recommend that you park the mower instead.

Example:

  • Pause Hawaii
  • Stop mower
  • Stop Automower

Status

Gives you a brief update on what your mower is doing right now.

Example:

  • What is Hawaii doing?
  • Is Automower running?
  • What is the Hawaii battery level?
  • What's my mowers doing?

Other commands

Of course, you can ask Google Assistant any standard phrases, such as "Please repeat".
