Husqvarna — one of the world’s leading producers of forest, park and garden products — shows off six new trimmers and brushcutters for excellent cutting and trimming performance, and better comfort, making the 525 series a great tool for landscaping professionals.
All six trimmers and brushcutters come with a powerful 25 cc engine, which gives a power output of 1.0 kW for professional level performance. An X-Torq® engine comes standard on the 525 series, giving the trimmers and brushcutters in the range better fuel efficiency by up to 20%, and reducing harmful emissions by up to 75%, compared to products without this feature. This lets users work longer with less interruptions, since less frequent refuelling means more uptime, and less emissions mean a better working environment.

The 525 series with bullhorn handles: 525RX (left), 525RXT (middle), 525RK (right)
This new series of trimmers and brushcutters weigh between 4.5 kg and 5.6 kg, so these products are relatively light. This translates into excellent handling and balance, so that manoeuvring the machines require less effort than other trimmers on the market at present. This makes for easy handling, making cutting around obstacles or complex areas simpler and more fuss free as well.
Better ergonomics with a comfortable design
Great features make operating the machine simple, such as an auto-return stop switch, so the switch always resets to the ‘On’ position after it stops, simplifying the start-up process. On the other hand, Smart Start® reduces the effort required to start up the machine by reducing starter cord resistance, which is another great feature that reduces the machine’s start up time.
Above: Bright blue lever lets users see if choke is activated
On the 525 series, an intuitive choke control can be operated with a single pull of the lever, and the brightly coloured choke means users can tell if the choke has been activated at a glance. This reduces the risk of flooding the machine, which means less downtime with this series of trimmers and brushcutters.
Soft grips give landscapers a more comfortable way to hold the product, while the adjustable handles lets each user customize their 525 series machine according to their height or working conditions, providing much better comfort on the whole.
The 525LS is a trimmer that weighs 4.6 kg (10.1 lbs), and is powerful, robust and reliable — perfect for contractors who want high productivity and a fuss-free machine that won’t break down easily. The 525LS comes with a T35X Tap-n-Go trimmer with ball bearings that helps extend working life. The 525LS also has a metal skid plate, robust handle system and a stand-alone starter, further adding to the trimmer’s durability.
The 525LK is a combi-trimmer that weighs 4.7 kg (10.3 lbs), and is versatile, efficient and easy to use — well suited to landscapers who want a trimmer that can be converted into different machines through a detachable shaft. This makes the 525LK a multi-purpose trimmer that enables multi-tasking. Some attachments that are available as accessories include a blower, pole saw, cultivator, hedge trimmer and edger.
The 525RJX is a brushcutter that weighs just 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs), and is powerful, reliable and versatile, making it a good fit for users who want a blade-capable machine with the lowest vibration levels in its class. The 525RJX comes with a combination guard, a T35 semi-automatic trimmer head with convenient Tap-n-Go line feed, as well as a 255-4 grass blade. The grass blade lets the machine cut easily through dense and coarse grass.
The 525RX is a brushcutter that weighs in at 5.1 kg (11.2 lbs), and is an efficient, ergonomic and easy to operate machine, great for ground care workers. With an outstanding combination of power, performance and comfort, professionals get maximum capacity with minimized user strains — since the machine comes with bullhorn handles and a Balance 35 harness that more evenly spreads out machine’s weight. The 525RX is also compact and has great balance, making it easy to manoeuver and execute cuts with precision.
The 525RXT is a brushcutter that weighs 5.4 kg (11.9 lbs), and is a powerful, efficient and ergonomic machine, making it an excellent product for landscapers who want a easy to handle machine with a Low Vib® anti-vibration system for optimum comfort. The 525RXT is blade capable, and has both a T35 trimmer head for normal grass, as well as a 255-4 grass blade for thick and rough brush. Equipped with a Balance 55 harness, the brushcutter’s weight is better spread, and comfortable bullhorn handles simplify landscaping tasks.
The 525RK is a combi-brushcutter that weighs 5.6 kg (12.3 lbs), and is versatile, highly portable and efficient – an optimal option for landscapers who want an easy to operate combi-brushcutter with a variety of attachments. With a detachable shaft, the 525RK is much easier to transport either by hand or in a vehicle, and makes changing accessories less of a hassle. The combi-brushcutter comes with a front-end included T35 Tap-n-Go head as a standard, but is also compatible with other front ends such as grass blade for denser grass, as well as a saw blade that can easily clear woody vines, saplings and small trees. Low Vib® and a Balance 55 harness make using the 525RK less tiring, because user fatigue is kept at bay for longer.
