How to update a Bluetooth-connected product using Husqvarna Fleet Services™ and FOTA
Using the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app, you can easily update the firmware of products that support FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) technology yourself. Husqvarna Fleet Services™ will inform you when there is a new firmware update available and guide you through the download and installation process.
To update a Bluetooth-connected Husqvarna machine using FOTA
It is easy to update a Bluetooth-connected Husqvarna machine using the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app and FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) technology.
IMPORTANT: During the installation, do not turn off the product or remove the battery.
- Install a fully charged battery in the product.
- Power on the product and ensure that the battery charge indicators are lit solid.
- Position the machine within Bluetooth range of an active Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app or Gateway.
- Open the dashboard in the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app, select Machines, scroll down to Firmware updates and select Firmware available.
- Select the machine in the list and click Update to initiate the update. The status of the machine is now changed to Waiting to update.
- Open the installation checklist. Verify that the requirements in the checklist are fulfilled. When they are, the product will download and initiate the firmware update (battery charge indicators start flashing).
- Wait until the firmware update of the product is complete.
When the update is complete, a notification is displayed in the app, confirming that the update was successful. The battery charge indicators and the Bluetooth indicator are lit solid (not flashing).
At the bottom of the product page, you can verify which firmware version is installed and which date it was installed.
What if the firmware installation fails?
If the product is moved outside of Bluetooth range from the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app or Gateway during the update, the download and installation process will be interrupted. It will continue as soon as the product is connected again.
