Collision sensor problem – Automower® error message
The message Collision sensor problem is displayed when the collision sensors of your Automower® robotic lawn mower are activated. Here are common causes and solutions:
1. Obstacle collision
- Cause: The mower has collided with an object and cannot move away. For example, the product is stuck under outdoor furniture.
- Solution: Free the mower from the obstacle.
2. Cleaning required
- Cause: Debris is lodged between the body and the chassis.
- Solution: Clean the mower with a brush to remove debris.
3. Body misalignment
- Cause: The mower body is not fully in place.

4. High grass
- Cause: The grass is too high for the mower.
- Solution: Ensure the grass does not exceed the recommended level for your mower model.
5. Low cutting height
- Cause: The cutting height is set too low.
- Solution: Increase the cutting height. Learn how to adjust the cutting height here.
6. Blocked drive wheels
- Cause: The drive wheels are blocked.
- Solution: Remove any objects that are blocking the wheels to ensure they can move freely.
7. Temporary electronic or firmware issue
- Cause: There may be a temporary electronic or firmware problem.
- Solution: Turn the mower off and restart it:
- For mowers with jogwheel: Turn the jogwheel until you see Power off, then press the jogwheel. To restart, press the jogwheel for 3 seconds.
- For mowers with keypad: Locate the ON/OFF button at the back or bottom of the mower.
- If the problem persists after restarting the mower, please contact your local Husqvarna dealer.
