Yes, out of the box, this US model of the Automower® 435X AWD uses a physical perimeter wire to define the mowing boundaries. However, it also supports Automower® Intelligent mapping via the app, allowing you to create temporary stay-out zones and customized work areas within that wired perimeter.

How large of a yard can the Automower® 435X AWD mow?

This robotic lawn mower is rated for complex, medium-to-large sized lawns up to 0.9 acres of grass (±20%).

How long does the battery last, and how long does it take to charge?

The 435X AWD provides a typical mow time of 145 minutes on a single charge. When the battery runs low, it autonomously returns to its station, taking only about 45 minutes to fully recharge before resuming work.

The Automower® 435X AWD is fully weatherproof (IPX4 rated) and can mow in the rain. If you prefer your mower does not mow in the rain, you can use our Automower Smart Routines and Rain guard to ensure your mower parks if there is rain in your local forecast.
