Frequently asked questions

How many acres can the Husqvarna CEORA® manage?

The CEORA® can manage up to 18 acres (approx. 75,000 m²) for regular quality turf (mowing twice a week). For facilities requiring "Pro Quality" (medium height, mowing every other day), it covers up to 12 acres. For premium "Pro Sports Quality" (daily mowing at low heights, such as golf courses or premium soccer fields), it covers up to 6 acres.

Is the CEORA® cutting deck modular or fixed?

CEORA is designed as a modular platform, allowing you to pair a drive unit with a separate, attachable cutting deck rather than a fixed, integrated deck. Available cutting deck options (e.g., RZ 43M and RZ 43L) are purpose-built for different turf requirements, enabling users to optimize for cut height, finish quality, and application type without changing the entire machine.

Do I need to install underground perimeter wires for the CEORA®?

No. The CEORA® relies entirely on Husqvarna EPOS™ (Exact Positioning Operating System). Using satellite-based RTK-GNSS technology combined with the included EPOS™ Reference Station, it maps your property using virtual boundaries with an accuracy of 2–3 centimeters. This eliminates the massive cost and downtime of burying wires across an 18-acre facility.

Does the CEORA® mow in random patterns or straight lines?

Unlike smaller robotic mowers that bounce randomly, the CEORA® utilizes highly efficient systematic, parallel mowing. Facility managers can use the app to select specific patterns—such as stripes, diamonds, checkerboards, or triangles—which is essential for maintaining the traditional aesthetic of professional sports turf and golf fairways.

How does the CEORA® detect obstacles on public sports fields or parks?

The CEORA® is equipped with active ultrasonic sensors that scan the area ahead of the mower. If an object, person, or animal is detected, the mower automatically reduces its speed and steers away to avoid a collision. It also features a "Protection Zone" from the cutting deck's outer edge to the internal blade discs to minimize accident risks.

Can the CEORA® operate safely at night?

Yes. In addition to its nearly silent electric operation (which won't disturb nearby residents), the CEORA® features energy-efficient LED warning lights. These lights can be configured to remain solid or pulsate, providing high visibility in darkness and allowing for safe, 24/7 autonomous turf care.

How do you clean the CEORA® cutting deck?

The CEORA® is designed with a unique "Service Position." The cutting deck can be easily tilted up into a vertical position by the maintenance crew, allowing for safe, ergonomic access to the 15 razor-like pivoting blades for quick replacements or to wash out grass clods with a hose (the unit is IPX5 weatherproof).

How do we push software updates to the CEORA®?

Software updates are handled automatically via FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air). Fleet managers do not need to bring the massive machine into a dealership; updates are seamlessly pushed to the mower through the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ platform over its cellular connection.

What prevents the CEORA® from being stolen from a public park?

The CEORA® features a robust, multi-layer security system. It is equipped with an integrated alarm, a PIN code lock, and GPS-based geofencing. If the mower is moved outside of its designated virtual boundary, the alarms trigger, and fleet managers receive instant flash notifications and real-time GPS tracking data on their devices.
