How to change a fuel filter on a chainsaw

Keeping a fuel filter in your Husqvarna chainsaw clean is important for the longevity of the product as well as for it work in optimal conditions.

Fuel filter has a task to filter out small particles from the fuel before it enters the engine.

Replacing a chainsaw fuel filter

For this you will need:

• protective gloves
• protective glasses
• new fuel filter: please refer to your product's operator's manual for the correct fuel filter type

CAUTION: Before starting this procedure, make sure to empty the fuel tank. Do not smoke while performing this task!

Method:

1. Take out the old fuel filter using a special tool or your fingers.
2. Pull out the fuel hose from the tank unit so that the fuel filter can be removed.
3. Fit the new fuel filter and refit the fuel hose with filter in the tank unit.
