Yes! Thanks to EPOS™ technology, the 420 iQ features Systematic Mowing. You can use the app to select specific patterns—including parallel stripes, checkerboard, or triangle designs—giving your 1-acre lawn a professionally groomed, golf-course look.

Will the 420 iQ work on steep hills or uneven terrain?

Yes, the 420 iQ is built with larger wheels and an optimized bumper to easily navigate uneven terrain. It can handle steep slopes of up to 45% (approximately 24 degrees) inside the boundary area.

Does the Automower 420 iQ require a strong Wi-Fi signal across my entire 1-acre yard?

The Automower® 420 iQ connects via cellular network and communicates with satellites using either Husqvarna Cloud or the included EPOS™ Reference Station. While Wi-Fi is not required for the mower to operate, it does provide quicker firmware updates and enhanced connectivity in areas with poor cellular service.

Can the 420 iQ cross a driveway to mow my front and back yard?

Absolutely. Using the Automower® Connect app, you can map multiple work areas and create transport paths. The mower will automatically cross driveways or sidewalks to travel between different zones of your property.

Is the Automower 420 iQ safe to leave outside in the rain?

Yes, the 420 iQ is designed to operate rain or shine. It has an IPX5 water resistance rating, meaning it is fully weatherproof and can even be easily cleaned off with a standard garden hose.

How is the 420 iQ protected against theft?

The Automower® 420 iQ is equipped with built-in theft protection. It features a loud anti-theft alarm that sounds if the mower is picked up. Additionally, the mower has GPS tracking, allowing you to instantly view its exact location via the Automower® Connect app. The mower is also PIN-code protected, meaning it cannot be operated by anyone else.
