Price, Durability, Weight, and Power.Ok - I've held my peace long enough. I've heard enough from differing manufacturers opinions, as voiced from their marketing and sales departments. It's USING IT that matters, and I use this stuff alot. I have had my first 435 for 3 years working professional jobs. Give me a group of tree cutters and some equipment engineers and we'll get things done. Try me!! Here's the deal..When you're 100ft off the ground, you cant be worrying about the performance of your saw. It has to start the first time - every time. As an arborist, I cut all types of trees - big, small, hardwood, softwood. Of all my saws on the job site, I use my 435 for 80% of my work, to include work on the ground. I also have little fear of free handing cuts while in the air and on harness and lines - as a top handle arborist saw, it is well balanced and truely a professional grade saw.The 435 for the price is the best value on the market - even over Stihl's - THERE, I Said it. Not Kidding!! Guys-Ladies (Dont want to miss the lady climbers) - GET SOME SAWS AND RUN THEM SIDE-BY-SIDE. Better take them up the tree and try them. I've run the best of them, and I like the 435. The 435's light weight allows me freedom to climb and hook it to my harness with little to no interference issues - and it's light - emphasis. Its Power isn't the best in class, but the ratio of cost-pwr-wt, I wouldn't trade. Again, this isn't about marketing, its about getting the job done. And - more power just sucks more fuel, and weighs you down on climbs. Think about it - its about profit margin, Right? Fuel costs money - Right? And - its about retaining your energy while in the tree, Right?Right...The 435 engine needs about 60 seconds to fully warm up to promote full power - the only drawback I noticed to date. The 14 in bar allows me to cut up to 18 inch material, off the ground, with no sweat. I use a small plastic wedge with wider cuts to prevent pinching the bar. Beyond that, I usually use my larger and much heavier saws for larger cuts.Although it has a small chain tooth as compared to my bigger saws, it cuts faster than you would think, even through oak, locust, and fruit woods. Just keep the bar oil running and keep the unit clean, and you can get lots of cutting life for each chain. Btw - run aggressive chain types - it can take it.As for durability - I had a 1800 lb 16 ft log section on a surgical controlled drop that accidentally severed the loading strap as the log approached ground level, then, of course it went where it wanted from there. Unfortunately my 435 was directly in its path and got pile drived by the full impact of the log. The ground was moderately soft but still hard enough that you couldn't dig your boot heel in more than an inch. After digging the saw out of 8 inches of now compressed earth - it had moderate damage to plastic parts, but started right back up. I was stunned!!The cracked parts caused the throttle trigger to stick, and was a $15 part replacement. After that - I bought a second 435. Nuff said. Now - My biggest problem on the site isn't getting stuff chopped up anymore. Its loading and hauling that now takes my time. That - I could use some recommendations.Git 'er Done...Dave PickettiArborPRO, MarylandProud owner of 4 Husqvarna saw machines.

Comments about HUSQVARNA T435:
Flawless the first year not so much the second. I purchased Husqvarna pre mix with the extended warranty and after the second time I took it back for not starting the gas line had split. Dealer told me warranty does not cover rubber parts....Nice! If pre mix is what has to be run in Husqvarna saws I will be shopping elsewhere!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Professional
I expected a bit better from Husqvarna considering their reputation. I bought the saw because I haven't had one in a long time but needed to get some tree work done. Stihl prices went through the roof and no longer German made, so went to Husqvarna. Choke switch seems Micky mouse, and carb seems to need tweaking as it seems starved at max throttle. The mechanism for the anti-kickback could be a lot better and it seems a bit weak- I'm trying to be gentle on it, engaging and disengaging it as I work- never had to do that with my Stihl tree saw... The Husky feels like a toy rather than a heavy duty tool. I'm hoping their big saws aren't like this or I'll pay the extra for the Stihl.

Good saw for the dollar
I do construction and tree work and needed a short light saw ,Husqvarns's price was better then others, plus I have a dealer that knows his business. For a light fast trim saw you can not beat this saw! As long as you follow the manual you should get many years out of the saw. Dealer support during purchase and after sale is key to having a good experience with this saw.

Well built, light weight saw that is great for climbing and ground work. Starts easy every time
I just bought the t435 yesterday and i like it cuz its only 7 lbs compaired to my 25lb saw when im trying to trim my other saw was to havy the t435 make it easy for me to trim trees when im either on a ladder or climbing in the trees i will tell everybody that i know to buy the t435 and i only paid $315.05 for this at weavers equimpent in vineland nj
just bought today, ran three tanks of gas through it. I am replacing a stihl 011avt. I was looking at the stihl 192 but the Husqvarna had 3/10 more hp and a 1/2 lb. lighter for same price. Has comparable power to 011avt. Anti vibration on stihl was much better. The 192 has same design as Husqvarna so unless your buying a older saw there is no other option for that part. Cranks good even in 20 degree weather, needs more carb adjustment to get top end power but until 4 year warranty runs out I'll leave as is. Carb can be adjusted but have to remove factory 1/4 limiters. Came with good chain and bar. only downside I have seen air box does not seal. After three tanks of gas air filter and around carb were covered with sawdust. Value wise I could get a echo for 279 with a 5 year warranty vs the t435 at $309 plus $22.50 for three can's of fuel just to get 4 year warranty.if not for the 3/10 more hp I would have got the echo. A lot of salesmen say you will never notice 3/10 hp. your homeowner infrequent user might not but if you use a saw for a living you will.
I've been a big fan of the Husqvarna for years. I use to be an ECHO fan when that was 15 years ago and this T-435 is all Husqvarna power

I own and operate a small tree business.I am a climber and the low weight and high power is a fantastic combination great value.saw starts easy and runs all day long without a hiccup. I would recommend this to anybody in this market for a saw of the style.I also do some custom climbing for companies in my town they have stihl and echo saws and this runs circles around both of them.
