About Me Professional
Comments about 120i:
First, the previous review clearly shows the user doesn't know squat about ANY battery powered equipment. Heavy loads drain batteries quickly on battery operated equipment. This saw is rated for a 4"-6" diameter wood; not 18" !! The bar is only 14" ! Run time is based upon PROPER USAGE. This saw is well priced; well made and does what it is supposed to do. I use it on mahogany from 4" to 8" in diameter without any problems. I get roughly 30 minutes because I too am over loading the battery. To misuse it and call it a toy call is ridiculous. Especially a piece of equipment that can cause serious injury.

About Me Do-It-Yourself
I'm 71 year old Grandma and love being outside and cutting my wood for the winter. I have a gas husqvara that I've used until this year I love it but my strength to start it has gone downhill with age so being in the Colorado mountain and using wood to suplment my heat I was getting frustrated with having to wait for my guys to make time to come help me, so checked out battery saws and found this little baby. I love it the battery life is just right for how long I'm able to work. This little guy follows its big brothers. I've been cutting 12" trees, it's a real champ. These are awesome saws worth the money.

PERFECT FOR MY SITUATION
By Beth C.
from Tijeras, NM
I've had this saw about a month and I'm happy with it so far. I live in the mountains of New Mexico among pinon, juniper, and oak. Most of what I cut is under 6 inches diameter, with some 6-12 inches and only occasionally over 12 inches. I'm not cutting continuously since I stop to make decisions and drag the slash out of the way. In this intermittent, light-duty style of cutting I can work for about three hours on one charge. When I'm doing more continuous cutting, such as bucking a pile of logs into fireplace lengths, the battery lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. It doesn't seem to make a difference whether I use full-speed mode or e-Save mode. This is small diameter bucking. If you were continuously cutting large diameter logs the battery probably wouldn't last as long. Charging a fully depleted battery usually takes me 2 to 2-1/2 hours. The saw is lighter and quieter than a gas saw, has less vibration, starts and stops instantly, and it's really nice not having to mess with gas. The user needs to be aware that the saw has a few different automatic shutoff features. It's worth reading the manual to be aware of them. If it's idle for more than 60 seconds the power button needs to be pressed to restart. If the chain brake is engaged it won't start. If you overload the motor by pushing too aggressively into the wood or by tangling the chain in foliage, the chain will stop. If you back off slightly and try again it will work. So far my one complaint is that it's hard to push the power button. It often takes me two or three tries before it turns on. It seems to require a very firm push directly in the center of the button. Overall I have found this saw to be effective and easy to use. I am happy with this purchase and would buy this saw again.

This is a toy
from Saugerties, N.Y.
I had a dead rotted Pine tree that came down. About 18 inches in diameter. Was told I would get about 45 minutes to an hour per charge. Got about 10 - 15 which represents about two cuts in the of the meat of the tree. Can't charge the battery until it cools down...about 45 minutes. Takes about 2 hours to charge. Needless to say it took me all weekend and I'm still not done with this dead tree which is about 3o feet long. I also cut a live small skinny tree about 30 feet long. Took two charges. When it cuts it cuts great but good for only pruning.
