How to clean or replace an air filter on your ride-on mower

In order for your ride-on mower to function in the optimal way, you need to make sure that the air filter is clean and working properly. If the air filter is dirty or damaged, there can be issues with starting your ride-on mower or you may experience loss of power while using it.

For this you will need:

• A cleaning brush or compressed air.
• A new air filter, if your old air filter is damaged; make sure to use the right type of air filter, depending on the model of your ride-on mower.

How to replace the air filter:

1. Open the engine cover.
2. Loosen the knobs that hold the air filter cover and remove the cover.
3. Remove the air filter cartridge from the filter housing.
4. Clean the air filter if needed.
5. If the air filter is broken or damaged, replace it with a new one; make sure to use the right air filter depending on the model of your ride-on mower.
6. Install in the opposite sequence.
