A bit nervous to purchase this machine with no previous reviews but it proved to be a very good buy. Very strong machine and the reverse rotating tines really get the job done. I recently purchesed my home and had no idea of the the things buried in my back yard where I planned my garden. It dug up posts from a old fence that had been buried in concrete and never skipped a beat. I would definatley recommend this tiller to any one wanting a reliable machine that makes the job a whole lot easier

the tiller worked fine for the first few times I used it. May have put a total of 3 running hours on it. The only complaint up to the moment the engine failed was the shifter was hard to use and seemed poorly designed. The Honda engine started right up and provided plenty of power until it seized up. Lowes, where I bought it, told me it was a manufacture issue. Honda was hard to get ahold of and not very interested in fixing it but they did finally send me to the authorized repair folks who told me the engine model had a history of value problems. They did fix it so I was grudgingly ok with the whole thing. Took it home and used it once more for 30 minutes. it worked fine and put it away for winter. The other day I got it out for spring. The shifter was stuck in neutral but the engine started on the first pull. Fresh gas, turned the engine over a few times b4 starting to get the oil moved around inside. Ran great for 4 or 5 minutes while I tried to get the shifter free, then made a clanging noise and quit. It's in the repair shop, no warranty this time. I am will never trust it again. Now on my way to buy another tiller. Very disappointed. My Husqvarna chain saw has always been great so I was impressed with the brand, but this experience will make it hard for me to purchase another product. never did get the shifter to work.

Comments about DRT900H:
The tiller worked great, when I was using it. But after letting it sit for a month it won't start.

Works great...if you're tilling weed and stone free sand

About Me Professional
After three years of trying to make this perform I've given up. This tiller would take hours if i wanted to properly till my 3000sq ft garden. The motor is so weak or in combination with the slow tine rotation it fails to mulch any weeds or cover crop taller than about three inches. Instead they get tangled up into a spiderweb mass around the tines. Any rocks bigger than a golf ball? Forget it. You better have a pocket full of 5/16" bolts for back up shear pins. I go through at least 4 every time i use it. I spend about 25% of my work time cleaning out grass wound around the tines so i can change a broken pin. Plus the belt drive adjustments suck. One positive. I've never had an issue getting it started. I expected much better performance for the price.

Wish someone would would at least email us back.
We bought this dr 900h tiller last year. We have had to weld the handle back on twice already . The first time we just got it welded back together the next time put so extra reinforcement so it would not break again. Now that was only using it last year for our garden. The second time was the first time we used this year. Now it is completely broken the bottom of bar by the height adjustment. So we will have to get it fixed again. We need it now not in a month so sending it somewhere won't work for us. We have e-mailed them But have never got any response back. We bought a more expensive one thinking it would be more durable. But I guess not. We had to buy another tiller in the meantime to back that one up. Very disappointed in this tiller.

Never Husqvarna again
By Parkland Gardner
We have had a Husqvarna riding mower and chainsaw for 5 years, and having always had issues getting parts we were hesitant to purchase Husqvarna when looking for a tiller. After reading reviews we were swayed to purchase the Husqvarna DRT900 tiller. Brought the tiller home and upon first use it was making a terrible grinding/screeching noise. The dealer we purchased from was not a servicing dealer so we had to take to another dealer where it sat for 3 weeks before getting a response that the issue was the transmission. NO PARTS AVAILABLE. Over $1000 spent, no tiller for the summer and no offer to replace. Contacted Customer Service - absolutely no assistance offered "sorry I can't be of any help". Should have bought a different brand. I can't comment on how it functions, as we have still been unable to use it 6 weeks after purchase.
Just got this and used first time

I have a small garden and just broke this thing iin doing in between the rows. I don't know about longevity or any issues yet but today was flawlessly perfect. My last tiller leaked fuel into the transmission. I have to "help" it along all the time. This thing is a dream machine. All I have to do is steer and shift it. It does ALL the work for me.

Would not buy again
By Dwayne the landscaper
Honda gc160 is a residential engine and not powerful enough to operate this piece of equipment. I am a landscaper with years of experience with these brands. Husqvarna is a good brand but should have known to use a different engine such as the Honda gx series engine (commercial) which has a cast iron block. I ended up having metal shavings in the engine oil and will have to replace. Ergonomics and mechanics of shifter are poor and loose. Mine has less than 50 hours on it. I expected better.
Best thing that's happened to our garden
from princeton mn
The tiller effortlessly breaks the ground every spring with ease. We've owned it two seasons, we have a large garden and run it roughly 50 hours a season. The Honda engine is quiet and smooth running. I only run non oxy (no ethanol) gas and keep it indoors year around. As others have mentioned it's only drawback is sometimes when shifting it you need to take a moment to work it into gear gently engaging drive belt.

Is working strong many days a week.
By Farmer Frank

Bought a farm 2 years ago, and have some big equipment,... but for between row stuff, and long and many rows, this has the power, the durability and the toughness to work day in and out. For small areas and in hoophouses I pull this tiller out and it does a super job. I love this machine
