Which Automower® robotic lawn mowers can be controlled by the Automower® Connect app?
All Automower® X-line1 models (models with a name ending with an X, such as Automower® 405X) and 500-series mowers can communicate with the Husqvarna Cloud using mobile communication. This enables you to control the mower from anywhere at any time using the Automower® Connect app and smart home services where the mower has mobile coverage.
All Automower® robotic lawn mowers (including X-line models) produced in 2018 or later2 can communicate with Automower® Connect using Bluetooth, making it possible to control the mower using the Automower® Connect app when you are within Bluetooth range of the mower (30 m/100 ft).
Automower® NERA models and Aspire™ R4 also support Wi-Fi communication, which offers similar benefits to mobile communication.
Models produced before 2018 do not have the necessary components and firmware to communicate with Automower® Connect.
Want to use Automower® Connect with an older model?
If you want to use the full range of features in the Automower® Connect app with a Bluetooth-only model or a model from before 2018, you may be able to install an Automower® Connect kit, which is an accessory enabling the mower to communicate with the Husqvarna Cloud using the mobile network3. This enables you to control the mower from anywhere at any time using the Automower® Connect app and smart home services. Contact your local dealer for more information about the Automower® Connect kit.
How do I know if my Automower® robotic lawn mower has an Automower® Connect kit installed?
If you are not sure whether your mower already has an Automower® Connect kit installed, check the following:
- Open the main menu on the mower control panel
- Select Accessories.
If your mower has an Automower® Connect kit installed, one of the options that can be enabled in the menu is Automower® Connect.
