Why is my Automower® robotic lawn mower only mowing portions of the lawn?

Several factors can cause your Automower® robotic lawn mower to unexpectedly mow only a portion of the lawn or miss certain areas. To diagnose and address the situation, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

Charging station connections

Incorrect connections at the charging station can cause the mower to operate only on certain parts of the lawn. Make sure that the guide wire is connected to the G1/G2/G3 pin on the charging station, not to the AR or AL pin.

How to connect the boundary wire and guide wires to the charging station.

Lawn coverage settings

Ensure that the lawn coverage settings in the Automower® Connect app or on the mower display correspond to the needs of your installation.

  • In the Automower® Connect app: Select More > Settings > Installation > Lawn Coverage.
  • On the mower display: Navigate to Installation > Lawn Coverage.

Work areas and schedules — AIM Technology

Only applies to robotic lawn mowers that support AIM Technology,

If you have deactivated the schedule for My Lawn in the Automower® Connect app, the mower will only cut the parts of the lawn that are covered by a scheduled work area. If any part of your lawn is covered by a work area without a schedule, or not covered by a work area at all, that part of your lawn will not be cut.

If you have deactivated My Lawn, make sure that you create work areas that cover your entire lawn and create schedules for each work area as desired.

Stay-out zones — AIM Technology

Only applies to robotic lawn mowers that support AIM Technology,

The mower cannot access areas that you have designated as stay-out zones in the Automower® Connect app.

Check your stay-out zones in the app and remove any unwanted stay-out zones.

Please contact your local Husqvarna dealer if you need further assistance with the installation or operation of your Automower® robotic lawn mower.
