Leaf blower won’t start? How to start it correctly

Cold start

Set the stop switch to ON

Press the primer bulb

  • Press the primer bulb at least 10 times until it fills with fuel.

Set the choke to FULL

  • Move the choke lever to the FULL position for a cold start.

Pull the starter cord

  • Hold the blower firmly on the ground and pull the starter cord until the engine “tries to start” (a short popping sound)

Move choke to RUN

  • Switch the choke from FULL to RUN.

Pull again until it starts

  • Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts.

Let the engine idle

  • Let the blower run for a short time before use.

Hot start

  • Do not use full choke
  • Set the choke to HALF or RUN
  • Pull starter cord until it starts
