What does the research report on robotic mowers and hedgehogs say?
The researchers conclude that technical features as pivoting blades, skid plates and front wheel drive significantly increase the safety index of robotic mowers. These are all features that we have in various combinations in our models. We always welcome new research and continuously collaborate with scientific institutions to improve our products.
How did Husqvarna mowers perform in the test?
We are happy that our mowers performed well in these tests, but we welcome further research on this topic. Keeping hedgehogs and other small animals safe is important to us and part of our Vision Zero initiative. Vision Zero is an initiative that aims at Zero accidents and Zero emissions (pollution and noise).

This study specifically covers hedgehogs; however, safety is always our primary concern, and we constantly work hard to improve the safety of our products. This is why we have equipped all our mowers with pivoting blades, one of the technical features highlighted in the report as significantly increasing the safety index of robotic mowers. That is also why we have added features such as the Wildlife Consideration-mode, which puts the mower to rest from dusk to dawn while hedgehogs are the most active.
