What does a solid blue light on the Automower® charging station mean?
A solid blue light on your Automower® charging station indicates that the boundary wire signal is weak. This typically occurs when:
- The boundary wire is damaged
- The boundary wire loop exceeds the maximum recommended length
- The wire connections at the charging station are incorrect
Note: If your Automower® robotic lawn mower is operating normally, no immediate action is required. However, addressing the weak signal can prevent future issues.
Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the weak signal:
- Check wire length: Ensure the boundary wire does not exceed the maximum recommended length of 800 m/2,600 ft. If it does, consider reducing the work area or replacing islands with physical barriers the robotic lawn mower can collide with.
- Inspect for damage: Examine the boundary wire for breaks or damage that may have occurred during gardening. Replace any damaged sections with new loop wire. For detailed guidance, see How to find and repair a wire break in your Automower® installation.
- Check connections at the charging station: Verify that the wires are properly attached to the charging station and that the connectors and pins are not damaged, corroded or showing signs of wear.
