Troubleshooting reference station issues during EPOS® setup of Automower®
During the EPOS® setup of your Automower® robotic lawn mower, you may encounter error messages related to the reference station. These are the most common errors and how to resolve them.
Failed to pair with reference station
This error occurs when the mower cannot pair with the reference station.

Check the LED light on the reference station
- Green solid light: If the reference station light is solid green but the mower still doesn’t pair, restart the mower and unplug the reference station. Then plug it back in.
- Green flashing light: The reference station is starting up. Wait a few minutes for it to complete startup. If the mower still doesn’t pair after 45 minutes, restart the mower and unplug the reference station. Then plug it back in.
- Red flashing light: There may be a technical problem with the reference station. Unplug the reference station, then plug it back in.
- If the problem persists, contact your local Husqvarna dealer.
No reference station found

Ensure correct installation
- Full sky view: Ensure the reference station has a clear view of the sky (minimum 135 degrees).
- Minimum height: Install the reference station at a height of at least 2 m/6.5 ft.
- Distance to the lawn mower: The distance between the reference station and the robotic lawn mower should be less than 100 m/330 ft. Be aware that objects in between can reduce this distance.
Technical error—red flashing LED
- If the LED on the reference station flashes red, there may be a technical problem with the reference station. Unplug the reference station, then plug it back in.
