Switching between using EPOS™ Technology and the boundary wire in an Automower® installation
Switching between using the wire-free EPOS™ Technology system and the traditional boundary wire installation is possible. Note that each time you switch, all existing virtual boundaries created using EPOS™ or AIM Technology, as well as all work areas, stay-out zones and schedules will be reset.
To switch systems, follow these steps:
- Open the Automower® Connect app and sign in.
- Select More > Settings > Accessories.
- Use the slider to enable or disable EPOS™ Technology.
If you choose to disable EPOS™ Technology, a boundary wire installation becomes necessary for the robotic lawn mower to operate. Upon starting operation, the mower will begin collecting data for the virtual map created with AIM Technology.
To operate using the wire-free EPOS™ Technology, you need:
- An Automower® robotic lawn mower that support EPOS™ Technology
- An EPOS™ Plug-in and a reference station
- The latest firmware update for the mower
