Cutting system blocked: Automower® error message

The Cutting system blocked message indicates that something is blocking the blade disc. Here are the common causes and solutions:

Lawn mower stuck on an object

• Cause: The lawn mower is stuck on an object like a tree root or trampoline leg.
• Solution: Remove the lawn mower from the object and restart it.
• If it frequently gets stuck in the same spot, consider isolating the problematic area with an island or a stay-out zone.

Grass or objects wrapped around the blade disc, wheels or under the cutting deck

• Cause: Grass or other objects are wrapped around the blade disc and need to be removed.
• Solution: Check for debris under the cutting deck, around the wheels and in between the body and chassis.

Grass too high

• Cause: The grass is too high for the lawn mower to handle.
• Solution: Adjust the cutting height on the lawn mower and ensure the grass does not exceed the maximum height recommended for your Automower® model. See table below.

Slope too steep

• Cause: The slope is too steep for the lawn mower to handle.
• Solution: Check the maximum supported gradient for your specific Automower® model. See table below. If the slope is too steep, isolate it with an island or stay-out zone.
