Easy control – directly on your phone

Your Husqvarna robotic mowers are monitored and controlled via the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ interface, directly connected to the EPOS system. Here, you set your area preferences, modify them, or add temporary stay-out zones – all directly from your phone or desktop. The system then controls the mowers within the boundaries with centimetre-level accuracy.

How it works: Satellite guidance and RTK-GNSS

Husqvarna EPOS technology uses satellite-based Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GNSS to create virtual boundaries with centimetre-level accuracy. The system works through satellite signals received by both the robotic mower and the reference station or via Husqvarna Cloud.

The reference station receives signals from the satellites and calculates the difference between the satellites' position and the mower's position. This correction data enables the mower to maintain centimetre-level accuracy at all times, ensuring precise navigation and reliable operation.

Flexible options to send RTK correction data

Depending on your needs, or the type of application, you can freely choose your installation set-up. With the Husqvarna solutions, there are three different ways to receive the RTK correction data necessary for precise positioning.

FAQ – Husqvarna EPOS and RTK

How do I choose between EPOS via Husqvarna Cloud, RS 4G and RS5 reference stations for my location?

These choices are typically made together with a certified Husqvarna dealer. In general, EPOS via Husqvarna Cloud* is relevant when cellular coverage is available and a physical installation is not preferred or not possible. It delivers 1–6 cm accuracy. RS 4G and RS5 both provide 1–2 cm accuracy: RS 4G suits larger areas where one station can cover multiple mowers, while RS5 is used for shorter-range deployments where onsite hardware is acceptable and coverage can be expanded with additional units.

*EPOS via Husqvarna Cloud is not available in all countries or regions. Availability varies as coverage has progressed differently between markets and can be confirmed by your local sales representative or certified Husqvarna dealer.

Husqvarna EPOS achieves precise positioning through satellite-based Real RTK GNSS technology, which utilises at least two cooperating receivers – a reference station or Husqvarna Cloud, and a robotic mower.
