How to clean your Husqvarna Automower® and Husqvarna CEORA™ robotic lawn mower

Clean your Husqvarna Automower® and Husqvarna CEORA™ robotic lawn mower and the charging station regularly for optimal performance and a long operational life. In addition to the regular cleaning, we recommend a thorough, professional cleaning at your dealer’s after each season.

Cleaning your robotic lawn mower

Step-by-step cleaning instructions

  1. Turn off the robotic lawn mower.
  2. Put on protective gloves.
  3. Turn the product upside down.
  4. Remove chunks of clippings using your hands, avoiding the skid plate and the blades.
  5. Use a brush to remove clippings from the skid plate, wheels, body etc.
  6. Inspect the charging plates and clean them using a fine grade emery cloth if necessary.
  7. Flip the product to get rid of the loose clippings.
  8. Use a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild soap solution to clean the chassis, body, panel etc.

Cleaning the charging station

Step-by-step cleaning instructions

  1. Disconnect the power supply unit.
  2. Remove grass, leaves, twigs, and other objects that may impede docking.
  3. Use a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild soap solution to clean the surface of the charging station. If you have an Automower® NERA or an EPOS® model, you can use running water to clean the charging station.
  4. Inspect the contact plates and clean them using a fine grade emery cloth if necessary.

Note: Never use a high-pressure washer or solvents to clean the charging station.

Easy cleaning with running water

Some Husqvarna robotic lawn mower models can be washed with running water, for example using a garden hose. This applies to both the exterior and underneath of the robotic lawn mower. The charging station for some models can also be cleaned with running water. For other models, do not use running water to clean the charging station.

Warning: Never use a high-pressure washer to clean the robotic lawn mower or the charging station.

Removing the body for easy cleaning

The body of some Automower® models can be removed for easy cleaning:

Automower® Cleaning & Maintenance kit

Automower® Cleaning and Maintenance kit (part no. 547 78 49‑01) makes cleaning and maintaining your robotic lawn mower easy. The kit includes:

  • 1 bottle Husqvarna® Active Clean Spray
  • 2 brushes
  • 1 fine grade emery cloth
  • 1 microfibre cloth
  • 1 sponge.

Husqvarna® Active Clean Spray has a specially developed detergent that is phosphate-free and biodegradable. It is tested and approved for cleaning
Husqvarna® products.
