Why do I need Wi-Fi coverage on my lawn?
A Husqvarna robotic mower uses satellite-based technology to know and map it's position in the garden. This enables it to mow within the virtual boundaries. The mower needs a Wi-Fi connection in all areas of the lawn where it should mow, in order to receive positioning data. Without this the mower is not able to know where it is and will stop.

How do I check if I have Wi-Fi coverage?
A smartphone can be used to check the Wi-Fi reception across your lawn. Simply go to different areas of your lawn and check the status of your Wi-Fi on your smartphone. Your phone should indicate at least one bar for the robotic lawn mower to operate reliably.
What if my Wi-Fi coverage is not good enough?
You can improve your Wi-Fi signal by moving the router closer to the garden facing wall or through network accessories like a Wi-Fi range extender or Mesh Wi-Fi system. Alternatively, we offer accessories which can be purchased and installed by a Husqvarna dealer:
- EPOS® RS1 Reference Station which provides positioning data to the mower
- Automower® Connect Kit which enables cellular connectivity on your mower
