When and how to reinstall EPOS® in an Automower® wire free installation
In a wire free EPOS® installation, there may be times when you need to adjust your setup or switch between a reference station and EPOS® via Husqvarna Cloud (available in select markets). The Reinstall EPOS® feature in the Automower® Connect app helps you adapt to these changes. Before starting the reinstall process, make sure that you are connected to the mower via Bluetooth.

- Map > Reference Station > Reinstall, or
- More > Settings > EPOS® Technology > Reinstall EPOS®

- Install the new reference station in the exact same spot as the old one. If the location changes, you’ll need to redo the entire EPOS® setup—including work areas, stay-out zones and other settings.
- Open the Automower® Connect app.

- More > Settings > EPOS® Technology > Reinstall EPOS®
- Select Replace reference station.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the new station.
Your existing work areas, stay-out zones and other settings will remain unchanged.

Important: Before reinstalling EPOS® on the Automower® 435X AWD NERA, you must perform a factory reset of the mower. The app notifies and guides you to do this.

What are profiles and how many can you create?

Profiles allow you to save different configurations for different locations or lawn setups, such as your home, summer house or a lawn area with specific settings.
Each time you reinstall EPOS®, a new profile is created automatically. Your previous profiles remain accessible in the profile section in the app.
- Access your profiles via More > Settings > Manage Profiles.
- You can store up to 10 profiles in the app.
- Delete older profiles to make room for new ones.
- Give each profile a clear name, such as “Home”, “Summer House” or “Spring flowers”, so it’s easy to identify and switch between them later.
