How to switch from EPOS™ to boundary wire installation on Automower®
If you have an Automower® robotic lawn mower that supports both EPOS™ and boundary wire installations, you can switch between the two systems.
Important: Each time you switch systems, all existing virtual boundaries created using EPOS™ or AIM Technology, as well as all work areas, stay-out zones and schedules will be reset.
Requirements for switching:
- An Automower® model that supports both EPOS™ Technology and boundary wire installation
- For EPOS™ operation: An EPOS™ Plug-in, EPOS via the Husqvarna Cloud or a reference station, and the latest firmware update
How to switch between systems:
- Open the Automower® Connect app and sign in
- Select More > EPOS™ Technology
- Use the slider to enable or disable EPOS™ Technology
Switching to boundary wire: If you disable EPOS™ Technology, you will need to install a physical boundary wire for your robotic lawn mower to operate. Once operational, the mower will begin collecting data for the virtual map created with AIM Technology.
Switching to EPOS™: If you enable EPOS™ Technology, you can operate wire free. For detailed information on wire free installations, refer to the Virtual installation guide.
