How to clean a water filter on a high-pressure washer

Your Husqvarna® high-pressure washer relies on a clean water filter to prevent dirt and debris from entering the system.

Over time, the filter can get dirty or blocked, especially with frequent use.

If the water filter becomes clogged, it may cut off the water supply completely—resulting in no water coming out of the washer.

To keep your washer in top condition, we recommend cleaning the water filter after every use.

Why cleaning the water filter matters

Prevents blockage

  • Stops dirt and sand from building up inside the washer.

Ensures water flow

  • Keeps a steady supply of water for consistent pressure.

Protects the pump

  • Reduces the risk of damage caused by debris entering the system.

When connecting to a garden hose, always make sure to follow the correct steps. If debris enters the hose, it can quickly accumulate in the filter and cause a blockage.

  2. Pull out the water filter using a pair of pliers.
  3. Clean the filter
    - Tap it gently to remove loose dirt.
    - Rinse it thoroughly under running water.
  4. Fit the filter back into the washer.
  5. Secure the connector by screwing the coupling back on.

Your washer is now ready for use again with a clean, unblocked water filter.
