High-pressure washer leaking: causes and solutions

Before using your Husqvarna high-pressure washer, always inspect it for damage. Never operate the product if any parts are damaged or missing.

If you notice water leaking from your pressure washer, the cause can vary depending on where the leak is coming from.

Below are the most common sources of leaks and how to fix them.

Leakage from the couplings or fittings

  • Ensure all coupling and fittings are assembled correctly and tightened.
  • Water leaks often come from worn or cracked O-rings.
  • Replace any broken O-rings with new ones.

O-ring maintenance tip

  • Lubricate O-rings after every use and before storage to prolong their life and prevent leaks.

Leakage from the gun/spray handle, spray lance or nozzle

  • Check for cracks in the plastic parts of the spray handle or lance.
  • Ensure all couplings and fittings are securely connected and properly aligned.
  • Replace damaged components if necessary.

Leakage from the body of the high-pressure washer

  • If water from the main body of your washer, it may indicate a crack inside the product.
  • Immediately turn off the washer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Do not continue using it.
