Mobile network operators and SIM cards for Automower®

If your Automower® robotic lawn mower is connected to Automower® Connect and the Husqvarna Cloud using a mobile network, it has a SIM card installed. The SIM card is used to connect your mower to the mobile network and enables it to communicate with the Automower® Connect app, so that you can control your mower wherever you are.

What costs are related to using Automower® Connect?

  • The Automower® Connect service is free.
  • The SIM card provided by Husqvarna gives your mower free connectivity for 10 years, provided that Automower® Connect supports the mobile network technology in your market during the full period of time and that there is a supplier of mobile network technology in the area.
  • You do not have to sign up for a separate contract with the cellular network operator.
  • There are no running costs associated with using Automower® Connect.

Can I replace the SIM card in my mower with a card from another mobile network operator?

Options for changing SIM cards

Automower® models with mobile connectivity come equipped with an eSIM for global coverage in most regions. However, if coverage is limited, you can switch to a local operator by inserting a physical SIM card of your choice. If you’d like to use a mobile network operator not included in our roaming agreement, please contact your local Husqvarna dealer for assistance.

How much data does the Automower® Connect app use each month?

Data usage details

The amount of data used by Automower® Connect varies significantly depending on the mower model, installation method and usage patterns. For example, more advanced models with additional features such as the AI Vision camera running in a wire free installation using EPOS® via Husqvarna Cloud will use considerably more data than basic Automower® models running with boundary wire. Factors such as mowing schedule, installation size and connected features all influence data consumption.

Can I see the remaining balance on my mower’s prepaid SIM card?
