128CD weed trimmer is THE WORST. Poorly designed and not worth the $$$
Trimmer strings vanish after 45 seconds of use. "Tap-N-GO" feature does absolutely nothing. Disassembling trim head to withdraw new string takes ten minutes of unwinding, threading line from the spool, then re-attaching trim head.
If I want to use the machine for an hour's worth of work, I spend a cumulative 50 minutes just re-threading the trim line. That's over two hours of wasted time, due to a substandard design.
I thought I could circumvent the problem of the trim line needing to be drawn out every 45 seconds buy purchasing a Shakespeare 3-Blade Head to replace the string assembly. Guess what? This is the ONLY trimmer on the market not comparable with the 3-Blade Head. So now, I'm stuck with a $220 machine that is worthless.
I plan on discarding this thing at my earliest opportunity.

Love the trimmer
This trimmer is a great value for the money. It has more power then the one I own now that cost me more cash. I'm very happy with my purchase & love the warrenty. Glad I decided to buy this trimmer. Starts right up within 2 pulls every time.

I have had this trimmer for about a month and love it! I love the Husqvarna quality and reliability. Haven't had any problems with my trimmer. It's awesome! I love the ability to interchange accessories.

Very good product!
I retired my Homelite string trimmer after 17 years of service. I then purchased another cheaper brand and it lasted for 5 days. Returned it and picked up the Husqvarna 128LD instead. It starts fairly easily and has a strong engine. I picked up a spare trimmer head to go with it for only $20. Since the line never runs out when it's hanging on the wall, it's easier to change the head and restring the other one at a later date. Great idea to make the trimmer head easy to change and inexpensive!

First One Wouldn't Run Out of the box
I Bought a Husky 128LD trimmer because I'd several years previously bought a Husky chainsaw with which I was very impressed. Unfortunately the 128LD trimmer I bought wouldn't start... I troubleshot it a bit and found there was no spark... makes me wonder whether the company is cutting corners on quality control. I had to drive 60 miles r/t to exchange the first trimmer for a second one. All the way back to the farm I was keeping my fingers crossed that the second one would run. I assembled it and it started easily on about the 3rd or 4th pull. I found when I first used it that it's just like the inkjet printers we buy nowadays... the printers come with the barest smidgeon of ink and this trimmer came with the barest smidgeon of trimmer cord. Luckily, I had more cord in stock, from my old, H**elite unit, so was able to reload the bobbin on the Husky. I was unimpressed by the handling of the Husky... The Husky 128LD is not very well balanced, so tends to tire me out after 20-30 minutes of use. Vibration is not any better than my old, worn-out Homel**e. All-in-all, were I to do it again, I'd spend half the money on a Hom**ite unit as my old one lasted over 15 years before I had to replace it.

money well spent
I've had previous experience with 'Husky' chain saws, and when my old trimmer finally wore out, took the opportunity to purchase this Husqvarna model. Works for me just fine, easy to start, good balance and power. Like the loading feature for the string spool.
