Well built with many valuable features Once assembled this little unit is appears to be very sturdy and well built. Fill the tank with the proper fuel mixture and follow the starting instructions and you will discover how sturdy it actually is. It starts with little effort and once running is far more quiet than my old unit. When handled with one hand, as having to open a gate it is quite obvious how well balanced it is. I also like the feature that the string head stops at idle. Overall very well built machine. September 8, 2012
First One Wouldn't Run Out of the box I Bought a Husky 128LD trimmer because I'd several years previously bought a Husky chainsaw with which I was very impressed. Unfortunately the 128LD trimmer I bought wouldn't start... I troubleshot it a bit and found there was no spark... makes me wonder whether the company is cutting corners on quality control. I had to drive 60 miles r/t to exchange the first trimmer for a second one. All the way back to the farm I was keeping my fingers crossed that the second one would run. I assembled it and it started easily on about the 3rd or 4th pull. I found when I first used it that it's just like the inkjet printers we buy nowadays... the printers come with the barest smidgeon of ink and this trimmer came with the barest smidgeon of trimmer cord. Luckily, I had more cord in stock, from my old, H**elite unit, so was able to reload the bobbin on the Husky. I was unimpressed by the handling of the Husky... The Husky 128LD is not very well balanced, so tends to tire me out after 20-30 minutes of use. Vibration is not any better than my old, worn-out Homel**e. All-in-all, were I to do it again, I'd spend half the money on a Hom**ite unit as my old one lasted over 15 years before I had to replace it. July 20, 2014
money well spent I've had previous experience with 'Husky' chain saws, and when my old trimmer finally wore out, took the opportunity to purchase this Husqvarna model. Works for me just fine, easy to start, good balance and power. Like the loading feature for the string spool. July 15, 2014
Long hours This trimmer is probity the best for the money that I've had ever! Starts every time, good on gas and does a excellent job, thank you Husqvarna July 8, 2014
128ld I have had this model for a month now and had no problems with it. It does the job. Price is Right. July 5, 2014
128LD This is a great product. It starts easy and runs well with plenty of power to make short work of weeds and small brush. It compares favorably with the Stihl I had. Great machine. July 2, 2014
peach Overall the trimmer works very well. My only disappointment is it is slow to accelerate from the idle. The 2 cycles I have owned in the past accelerate a little faster. I have always preferred the 2 cycle over the 4. I still highly recommend this product. I also have a tiller that works great. June 16, 2014
good machine BUT Was easy to put together, other brand of attachments will fit this machine. semi-hard to start the first time you start it up six or seven pulls, but after that starts on first or second pull. Has good torque for a two stroke engine. The line feed would NOT work right, had to shut off machine five or six times in an hour and fix the feed assembly. What a pain. Finally threw it away and bought a manual line feed attachment!!! June 12, 2014
