built to last This is a well built durable piece of equipment that gets the job done. Honda power with Husqvarna engineering is a unique combination that will work for years to come. AWD is a plus and a must as you get older trust me on that one. It helps you move along with minimum effort. love my new investment. April 19, 2014
This Mower Grips the Lawn Like a Tiger!! Friends: This is my second Husqvarna self-propelled mower, but my first AWD. I was so satisfied with the first one that I wanted another...but I did take the time to compare Husqvarna with other brands. I went to several stores and looked at about four other brands with similar features. But for the money, the control, and the sheer power, the Husqvarna AWD 22 inch mower has no equal! When I got it home, I opened the box, added the oil, adjusted the wheel height, and pulled the cord. It leaped to life with the greatest sound of smooth power I've EVER heard out of a walk behind mower. As I made my first rounds, I could tell that it was literally gripping my lawn. It mowed perfectly without ever bogging down, even in areas where the first mow of spring grass was well above the wheels! The grade of my lawn is not very steep, but at age 64, I need all the help I can get!! This little guy, with it's variable walk-behind-speed and incredible power to pull it along, is just so easy to use it's almost laughable. All I do is hold on and guide it. I use the mulch feature most of the time and my lawn is the talk of my block! I HIGHLY recommend this mower without hesitation. April 13, 2014
Great Product Only used a few times, but am totally happy with everything. Have other Husqvarna products, and was looking for a new mower and was impressed by the model at the store as well as the features, especially the Honda engine. April 6, 2014
i will never buy a husqvarna lawn mower agan. after only 1 season it wont start, don't know how much its going to cost to fix but as soon i get it repaired i am going to try and sale it. i don't want a mower you have to take to a repair shop every spring. it worked very good for about 7 cuts and i thought i get 2 or 3 years out of it before i would have take it to a professional to fix it. Will climb a tree This mower did exactly what I purchased it for. Mow an extremely sloped lawn January 6, 2014
Cheaply made I bought the mower in early July. After about 3 uses the drive system broke. It was just past the 30 day warranty where husqvarna will take full responsibility, so I had to take it to a repair shop. They had my mower for almost a moth and repaired the issue under warranty after I paid for the new part to ship. The Honda motor runs great and starts first pull. It's heavy and a little hard to maneuver but you get used to it. I'm not holding much confidence in the drive system. It's a gimmick and I fell for it. December 4, 2013
A great multi-purpose workhorse mower I originally bought the HU700F because of the price point/value at a big box store, but when I got it home it was obvious it had been used before and restocked. Promptly, I took it back looking to swap it out for one that was truly new but the store didn't have any more in stock. Needless to say, I was very unhappy at this point and I was ready to take my business elsewhere. This was kind of a compromise mower for me anyway, as I really wanted something with the Honda 190cc engine. The store wanted my money, so they told me I could pick any other non-riding mower in stock for no upcharge. They barely got the words out before I informed them that they needed bring me an HU800AWD to make me happy--and boy, was I ever. After four mowings of my half-acre yard, I am very pleased with this mower. Two of the times I have mowed have been in wet grass, and the mower performed very well given the circumstances. I feel it mulches very well in dry grass, and bags well until the bag gets too full. I'm very impressed with how smoothly it runs and how easily it starts. In dry conditions, the self-cleaning feature where you attach the hose to the deck works great. The mower gives a nice cut and I really like having the option of mowing my Bahia grass at 4.25". Also, it is very fuel-efficient and I've never come close to running out of gas on a full tank. Notable: I use 93 octane in it. Even at $500 this mower is a real value, IMO. For the $325 I paid for it out the door, it was a steal. Is it durable? It's impossible to say after four uses, but my goal is to get about a decade of service out of it. That Honda 190cc engine is straight butter right now, hopefully the rest of the mower take 38-40 mows per year in this humid FL heat. This mower is almost a beast at 90+ lbs, but that's okay. If I didn't want a workout I would hire a lawn crew. I probably would have been happy with the HU700F, but the HU800AWD makes me grin ear-to-ear whenever I pass by it in the garage. November 28, 2013
climbing hills The HUSQVARNA HU800AWD is the way to go. I like the way I can mow the hills with out havening to push. The only thing I came across that bothers me is when I need to pull backwards I have to nudge the mower forward a smidge in order for the front wheels to disengages. I hope HUSQVARNA can find away to solve this problem. November 24, 2013
