Control broke in one half hour of use I bought this trimmer on Saturday, used it the first time on Monday to cut half of my yard which is about 4,000 square feet. It ran for about a half hour and worked well but I had to use two hands to turn it off. Used it Tuesday to cut the remaining half of my yard. It cut everything it was supposed to, but it wouldn't shut off. It eventually ran out of gas, which was the only way to stop it. I went to the place where I bought it and the service person there said that the problem is a common one. In fact, he had one available for rental that he removed the control because it was too difficult to get to the off position and once there the machine wouldn't turn off. We found that the end of the cable had broken off. Also, the connection under the housing wasn't fully engaged so it couldn't stop using just the handle control. Very disappointed in the quality of this machine. May 15, 2013
Not worth the space in my garage Purchased this unit last fall & used it ONCE for ONE tank of fuel. Rolled it into the dry clean & heated garage for a couple of months. Now this spring it will not start. Fresh fuel was used last fall & fresh fuel was put it this spring. Oil clean & up to the mark ..yup. Yet still prime & yank till you are sore and winded NOTHING! Throttle control won't shut the unit down, Owner's Manual not available on line I really wanted to get an HU625HWT trimmer mower to cut parts of my yard that are not smooth enough for my HU775H rotary mower. When I was finally ready to buy, the only one available in my area had been used once and returned. It runs fine, and does a great job. However, the I can see why the unit was returned. The throttle control cable is defective and will not shut the unit off! It was easy to find the shutdown lever that the cable would push if it worked properly, so I can use the trimmer. Also, the unit I bought was returned without the owner's manual, but I was told I could download it from your website. You can for most models, but not for this one. The only PDFs are for parts diagrams. I really need to be sent a PDF owner's manual. Thanks! September 17, 2012
Makes weeding and trimming easy No longer have to lug a weed trimmer over my shoulder. And no mixing gas and oil! Trim line takes a beating. Helps me keep my 4 acres tidy. Love the adjustable height handles. A very good purchasing decision. August 21, 2012
My high wheel trimmer experience I looked at several similar products, and when it came down to it I wanted to keep my garage Husqvarna orange! Price was a big factor and this was a great buy at my local Big R ranch store. I needed a lot of versatility as my terrain is varied from pasture to heavy brush/woods. I knew this would not clear all the brush but I wanted to get close and get the high weeds and smaller brush cleared out so I could get in with a chain saw for the bigger stuff. Just to let you know how well this will cut, I accidentally got to0 close to my chicken pen and sliced a long strip in the fencing without breaking the trimmer line! The gals loved their new found freedom but I didn't enjoy catching them and putting them back in their pen. So far I've mowed about 2 acres of pasture, cleared a firebreak of mixed high weeds and small brush, mowed my front yard, sliced opened the chicken wire, and started working on clearing the tall weeds, poison oak, and brush on my wooded area. Yes it is a work out! But this little machine does a great job! The only thing I would change would be a little larger wheel to get over small rocks and make it maneuver a little easier. I'm fairly small and this is really easy to use but like stated above bigger wheels would help a ton! June 15, 2012
need to know A word of caution about this machine. The trimmer head is of a ridiculous design. Compare to other machines present and past—they do not have exposed niches and crannies for grass to get totally entangled. In fact grass gets inside the adjustable (an unnecessary 'feature'# head and will destroy the unprotected center bearing. This may occur within hours of use especially when cutting drying grass. If you have this machine you need to remove the mow-ball #with a protected bearing# and the trimmer head #carrier plate# and inspect the grass buildup on a regular basis. June 6, 2012
Defective - Shredded belt I like the idea of the tool, but between a burr on the pulley assembly, a bent pulley housing, and a shredded belt on the second use, I'm feeling a bit gun-shy. The repair person at the dealership has been getting the run-around from Husqvarna about the ordering of parts and warranty issues (it's only a month old, and it's been in the shop for 3 of those weeks.). He put it back together, and even he shredded another belt. We're still waiting . . . June 1, 2012
