18 HP Kawasaki engine has plenty of power
I was researching this summer for a new rider to replace my 8-year-old Craftsman. I decided to get a 46" Husqvarna and to splurge for the Kawasaki engine version (special ordered it through my local Lowes.) I was a little concerned that it would be under powered since it's "only" 18 HP, but I was very pleasantly surprised. My old Craftsman is 27 HP, and I don't think it ever had as much power as this mower does. The side ejection is simply awesome! It's blows out the side like a powerful leaf blower. The engine starts super easy -- don't even need the choke -- and runs much quieter than my Craftsman ever did. I don't know how this compares to the Briggs & Stratton engined version, but I'm feeling good about spending the extra money for the Kawasaki. It cuts fast and leaves the lawn looking great. The only negative is that it arrived with some paint rubbed off in two spots on the top of the deck from shipping.

Powerful and Easy to Handle
I thought my 9 year old 42" Murray was a great mower - then the transmission failed and it wasn't practical to have it repaired, so I went shopping and found my Husqvarna 46" and fell in love with it the first time I used it. Even my wife is amazed with the way it handles and the fact that we now do a lawn in about half the time it used to take. Both she and I have given it raves to friends, and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a really great rider.

I have owned other tractors since 1998 and have found Husqnarna has out performed them all. Great turning radius, plenty of power, very comfortable and ease of mowing my two acres. Also the under cleaning port for the deck is a feature is a blessing.

Good Mower with Great Engine.
First off I purchased from a local dealer, not a box store. I don't believe that this exact model with the Kawasaki engine is even available at the big box stores... didn't see it available around here at least. Had a very good experience with the knowledgeable dealer (Fleury's Outdoor Power). Comparably priced to others, but I'd rather support the local guy than drive all over, try to save $100, and get a less desirable engine for a long term investment.
Only negative I can think of is: The hour meter (which is a nice feature) will continue counting if you leave the key "on", say if you run out of gas and don't turn the key off (this will also drain the battery), so my meter says it has 60 more hours on it, than the mower has on it.
That being said, it starts up quickly, runs smooth, and cuts very nicely.

nothing of value
Bought a model yth21k46 nd thought was good purchase , took back to store as seemed loud was told breaking in period , while cutting lawn right side in front started smoking badly , the exhaust pipe had came loose and and turned and made contact with black plastic on motor hood and burned a hole through it, took back to store was told not covered under warantee. Called husqvarna three times first two put on hold then hung up on during call transfers. Noticed when got home the plastic lens from headlight gone fell out during loading at store. I replaced bolts holding exhaust and found tractor much quieter. Have a new tractor with front end that looks like bad , I bought a husqvarna weed trimmer at same time as mower returned it to store as had not removed from packing and dont trust the workmanship of it. I have told everyone I know dont buy husqvarna as you dont stand behind product.

Great Mower/Tractor for the money
Bought this to replace a 42" 17 year old Husqvarna YTH130 with a Kohler engine. This Kawasaki engine is great and has plenty of power for pulling other implements while it's mowing. I fixed the older mower for the wife to use, but she won't let me on HER new mower! She loves it and has no problem moving it around in the garage, or mowing with it, she's an instant pro! It cuts great and is easy to maneuver around in our yard. The price was comparable to other 46" tractors and you can't beat Husqvarna's reliability. One thing I've learned after years of mowing 2-3 acre lawns, you get what you pay for!
