Had another brand of chainsaw, you would run it for a while, shut it off and it would not restart until it had completely cooled down. Found out right away that this husqvarna saw will start hot or cold every time. It feels good in your hands and cuts like a dream!!!! I highly recommend this saw. May cost a little more than the cheapest brand, but it's worth every penny and it cuts circles around the others!!!!!!

BEST LITTLE SAW I EVER USED
For the price and use of the 445 with 16 inch bar, does a very fine job. I have cut over 25 cords of wood. This saw has set in my shop for over 6 months and has not been started until yesterday. I put fresh gas in it primed it and on 3rd pull it started right up. For a homeowner the 445 is a good choice

I started with a used 435 but I felt so under-powered so I switch for a used (but not so) 445 in a pawn shop, I could feel the difference . It is a perfect balance between power and agility since I still can climb in the tree the saw fixed on my harness. When Am back on the cold ground , it`s a monster for logging and limping with apple trees and other hard woods like maple. Just 45 cc but it doesn`t matter ,I got the skills, the sharp chain, hand tools and accessories to compensate with the XP series Jut a inconvenient , A little capricious to start when cold but it worth every cents I paid for even used.

This is the most worthless piece of junk that I ever wasted good money on. With only occasional use, the trouble began shortly after the warranty ran out:
1. The poor quality plastic pulley in the cranking mechanism broke into pieces.
2. The chain slips off easily, and the housing cover will not fit back on if the chain brake mechanism has been activated. You get to sit there in the woods with a useless saw until you figure that out.
3. The saw now starts but will not run, it conks out when you try to rev it up and has no power. I replaced the spark plug and serviced the air filter to no avail, then took it into an authorized shop. They said that the fuel line had worked its way into a crimped position. I asked how it could do that and they didn't know.
4. I took the saw back into the woods today and it still won't run.
5. I have been cutting my own firewood for supplemental home heating for nearly forty years and have never had such a horrible experience. A Homelite served me well for most of those years with almost no trouble. When you go through all of the effort to arrange a day of wood cutting, you expect a piece of reliable equipment that you can trust.

I have cut two or more cord of fire wood since purchasing this saw. So far I am more than pleased with it's performance. I had a Homelite and was used to not having the power I wanted and some issues with starting especially when hot. This 445 has all the power I could ask for in an 18" saw. At this time it starts any time I pull the rope, hot or not. I would recommend this saw for anyone who cuts a lot of firewood, it's a good workhorse.

I bought this saw in September from a local Husqvarna dealer which is listed on Husqvarna site for Serbia. It was during special price action. It was all assembled in store by worker.
Anyway, I worked with it for few hours just cutting wood nothing too extreme. 1 - 2 gas tanks per day. Then one day chain was stuck suddenly. It was new for me I took it to dealer, they changed oil pump I think. When I got home and used it again very soon chain was stuck again. I went to store again, this time they changed sword. I come home and chain stucks again very soon. I talked with dealer and we agreed that I put spare chain I got form them. It worked fine for a while, then today in the middle of cutting a medium diameter tree chain stuck... again. I have decided to ask for money return in Monday. Very disappointed by this model and by Husqvarna.

DO NOT BUY "fire hazard"
I bought this saw used it about 10 times maybe, was still like new when it caught on fire , called and explained what happened and and they stated someone would contact me in 48 hrs "Yeah Right" i had to call back 6 times and still didnt get anywhere , they offered to pay me for the chain saw to sign a release, > they stated it was my fault it started on fire , i guess you cant leave a husqivarna chainsaw set idle, they will accuse you of what ever they can not to deal with a death trap, Take it off the market if you cant set it down to move brush out of your way to cut more trees, "Their analogy was you cant leave your emergency brake on in your car and not expect it to catch fire with in 2 min. I would like to call them out on this, many people left driving there car and forgot to take off ebrake but there car never started on fire , no its poor quality and design by HUSQIVARNA. Please don't buy there product, read there revies customer service from 0-700 where do you think they rate a award winning 28 yes 28 out of 700. if that dosnt speak volumes than i don't know what would . please help me fight this battle with a multi-million dollar company, i just spent my hard earned $ to buy a saw i thought would keep forever, BOY was i wrong , almost started my moms house on fire, if that would have happened that would have been the only way to make then do something. so if you family member gets hurt or your house burns down take that as a i told you so.

most reliable saw ive seen
Ive had my husky 445 for 5 years now. Doesn't matter how long it sits i just pick it up choke and prime it pull twice it then hold down the trigger pull it again and starts every time. Furthermore i went to a trade school for lumbering, we had stihl and husky saws. When you see kids with little experience abusing saws five days a week you start to notice a trend. The stihl saws dont want to start.
