awsome chain saw this saw is perfect for the person that needs a very light ,easy to start chain saw . itb has all the power needed for the average joe ...highly recc to anyone February 24, 2011
easy to start and handle Bought this to clear about 15 unwanted trees. averaged about 10-12 inch in dia. This saw easily powered thru them and cut it all up easily. I love the way it feels to handle and it is very quiet as chainsaws go, husky has the balance thing right on. And the easiest saw to start I have had. The chain seems just as sharp as it was when I started the job. the only thing I was disappointed about was the lack of a decent blade cover. For the money this saw cant be beat! February 24, 2011
easy lightweight good handling I use this saw around my fence line to get into tight places and it does the job. I carry it on the back of my ATV in the woods. Thanks for a great saw. February 24, 2011
cold starts not a problem in nothern minnesota took her out of the shed on a cold negative 20 degrees below mourning and in three pulls she was idling, two minutes later I was laying down trees. I had used it 5 months earlier and it sat in the shed and it stayed there until the other mourning.. what more can ya say about a chainsaw..after all they better all cut wood but running good on old gas and below zero conditions, ya I like that! good features my chainsaw is balanced very well. does not wear me out after long use periods. I like the compression release and being able to prime before starting. even after doing all the above, it still takes 6or 7 pulls for it to start, but after it once gets warmed up it starts on the first pull. Lot of Power for a Little Money My Husky 460 series chainsaw performed flawlessly out of the box. The dealer took the time to ensure I had more than just the basics so that I would safely get max benefit from this exceptional saw. My neighbors observed the ease and power and soon lined up to try it themselves. I know 4 other guys bought it to replace inferior products in their garages. The Husky was recommended by my brother, a professional logger of 30 years, as the most durable, reliable, and long lasting product on the market. He should know, he owns 3 pro-grade Huskies and depends on them to keep production running. Exceptional machine, exceptional value! February 23, 2011
Cuts trees like a knife to butter I bought the 16 inch Husqvarna 440 to cut down trees in my 2 acre yard. The chainsaw cuts them like a knife to butter. My spine is mostly fuse due to Arthritis. I didn't know if I would be able to start it, but with the "Smart Start" I didn't have any problems. This is the second Husqvarna I own and probably own many more. Love it's performance. Husky 440 Chainsaw I cut nothing but Osage Orange (Hedge Apple). Some is green, but most has been on the ground for a year or more. If you know Hedge Apple, then you know this is a severe test. The Husky 440 with a 16" bar is perfect for this work. There is plenty of power for full bar cuts, easy on the hands because of the suspension system and the light weight, starts so easy even a 69 year old can start it, and the built-in chain adjustment system is a dream. The chain oiler keeps the chain from wearing (stretching) without slinging oil on everything, and the oiler is the right size so you don't run out of oil before having to gas up. And the air filter hardly gets dirty because of the fresh air system design. You won't be sorry for buying a Husky 440. Did I say how easy it is to start--what a machine! Now if it would just make me 50 again! Pete, Northern KY February 23, 2011
