I'm sorry I ever bought this saw
I bought the 240-e in summer of 2011. I did so to cut down small fir's and pines on our property, then cut for fire wood. i have had nothing but problems with it. Mainly failure to start. I have taken it to my dealer 3 times last year. On the final trip, it did run properly when I got home. After, maybe 4 tanks of fuel it started to become difficult to start again. I put the saw away for the winter. Tried to start is again this summer, with no luck. I do not want to keep returning to the dealer. I'm buying a different saw. Several friends told me to not buy this. I should have listened.

I purchased this chainsaw to do some light trimming, which it excelled at. It is much more capable than the description says. I have used it heavily for a month and the saw hasn't skipped a beat. It is very easy to start and keep running. I will only buy husqvarna equipment from now on!

Husqvarna 240 E
Great product to have around the home or for light work out in the woods. The 240 E series is ideal for quick cutting jobs, trimming, trail clearing ect. I would recommend this product to anybody who isn't out trying to make a living on logging, but wants to do any task easy enough to finish without spending tons of money on a heavy duty chainsaw.

Perfect for my needs
I am a handyman and also have some yards I do weekly lawn maintenance for so I needed just a little pruning saw. I originally bought the Echo because of the warranty but quickly found it to be next to impossible to start cold. I got tired of the 40 to 50 pull starts so I took it back and went back to Lowe's to get the one I was originally familiar with, the Husqvarna 240e. I am glad that I did. It start after a couple of pulls, has enough power to easily complete the jobs I need it for and is easy to take apart and clean. Thanks Husqvarna for your quality product.

chainsaw 240 e-series
I own 9 acres of woods, meadow, water. 240 e-series seems to be perfect for my needs which is mostly clearing downed limbs and removing small, dead trees.
I like the saw. Starts fine. Works fine.
My only suggestion is this. The simple directions (mostly on starting) are very simple. The user manual is quite detailed. It would be helpful if there were an intermediate document for the new owner, more detail than the simple starting document and less than the manual.
In addition, it would be helpful if the seller started the machine and gave the new user a tutorial 101.
