Best saw I have used.
This is the best saw I have ever used. Cutting wood on farm a couple of weeks ago and I was cutting three times as much as my helper who was using my other saw (different brand).
Have used many different brands of saws and I believe this to be the best one for the money.

Second saw - First had damaged bar - Sears replaced - Next saw ran perfect.
Used to cut down 30" oak tree, then cut into 18" pieces. Did a wonderful job. Easy to start and cut really well as long as I didn't push blade. Had to allow time to cool off (which allowed me to cool off too, and was about time to refuel). Good balance and easy to handle.

Strong saw
Starts and runs good. Cuts good. I had a problem with debris being forced between blade and teflon guide on cover. Unclear if this will happen again.

A Standard Among Saws
I purchased the 445 after having used a 455 Rancher for a while and being so impressed that I had to have its little brother too. The 445 is perfect for light felling, trimming and limbing fell trees. I got the 16 inch bar on mine and was glad for its intended purpose (weight and manuverability demands) but some friends have the 18 inch bar on theirs and power is no problem for them either. It starts great hot or cold, handles like an extension of my arms and just feels right in my hands while I'm working. I am so happy I have found Husqvarna saws, my only regret is that these 2 saws will probably outlast me at my age and I won't get to buy another one in my lifetime.

Great saw, performs very well
I have owned many saw and I think the Husqvarna is tops in all respects.

Massachusetts loves the 445
After a lot of research I chose the 445 and am very happy with it. So far only cut a few trees but really like the feel and power. Start up has been a 5+ we have had some pretty cold mornings and had no problems. I tend to be critical but this saw deserves good grades.

Great Saw!!!
If you are reading this, then you have made it to the greatest choice in chainsaws. I am a experienced chainsaw owner. I have owned the "other orange" saw and a Dolmar. The competitors make good saws. But for the money it is hard to beat Husqvarna. I recently traveled with a friend of mine down to the woods to clear some land. Brought my Husqvarna 445, and my 346xp just in case. I didn't bother to fuel them as my friend had his Poulan and Dolmar fueled up and ready to cut. He couldn't keep the Poulan running and the Dolmar was shaking me up. After about 10 min using his saws I had to quit. See with me my main concern is weight and vibration. My hands were shaking when I was done and this was only 10 minutes! So I go to the truck and since I was only cuting some 13inch sweetgums I grabbed the 445. I yanked the cord 2 pulls!! And it was going. Slashing cutting and making our time short. Later on that day after I let my friend use the 445 he was sold. The very next day he went out and bought the larger displacment 455 rancher. You have made my life and his ALOT easier and safer with such a great product.
