WOW!Upgradeded to this blower from the 130BT 2 years ago. The 130BT was a great blower, it was just not big enough for my land and abundance of trees.Unbelievable power! Starts like a champ every single time! I was leery about spending so much for a leaf blower but ever since the first use I have NEVER regretted it. This blower will blow anything in its path.Wet leaves? No Problem.Wet Grass? What Grass?Sticks, twigs, acorns? Where'd they go?At full throttle I have to brace myself because it unleashed a tornado of air!All joking aside though this is probably the best purchase that I have made for my yard work. I use it every week from April to October. I even used it twice this winter to blow the snow off of my 300' long driveway! At idle speed there is just the right amount of air to blow the grass clippings out of the flower beds without doing any damage and at full throttle I can launch leaves 20' into the woods when I need to.

Unbelivable power and is the most powerful blower I own. Great for fall cleanups.Bought new and used for 2 months. Bolts for the engine fell out and cracked block. In the shop for 7 weeks waiting on warranty authorizations and back ordered parts. I use this for my business and this defect has cost hundreds of lost revenue. My whole fleet is husqvarna and im thinking of going to stihl.

A Sound Decision!!

About Me Novice
Comments about HUSQVARNA 580BTS:
After a ton of research and hours of painful video reviews, all arrows pointed straight to the 580BTS and now as a mere home owner, this is my choice. I don't even have a big yard but I have 3 trees and some surrounding trees from neighbors that the piles of leaves are no joke and I spend a lot of time getting these leaves from the backyard out to the curb and I decided it was time for a backpack blower. I have been using the BG86C hand held for 3 years and while it is a great little blower, it is just that..a little blower, so the hunt began for more power and I was told about some walk behinds but I found that idea just too hard to maneuver in my small yard. I also considered another hand held to operate 2 at the same time, but that idea was quickly squashed. As a Still owner, of course I went straight to asking what their top of the line model was and found the BR700 and the 700x. Also learned that both of these models are relatively new to the market, so that was a little but of a red flag to me. I spoke with several mechanics that actually work on both and 98% of which steered me towards the Husky. After using the 580 BTS I am more than happy with the decision and would recommend it to a friend or family member. Thanks Huskvarna for a great product! Oh yeah..this thing is a tornado!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It will blow you away.

Make sure you get the flat nozzle attachment with it. It turns this machine into the monster it should be.
GREAT BUY FOR LARGE AMOUNT OF LEAVES

I use this blower for some serious leaf cleanup in my yard. I have 22 oak trees on my property and it is surrounded by timber. I get leaf piles several feet tall and 100' long. This blower moves them no problem even when they are wet. Blower is worth every penny and you will clean up your yard in 1/4 the usual time. The only issue I have had is the starting but once you figure out the choke to temp ratio its pretty easy.

I bought the 580 BTS about one month ago and love it. It is a beast. Will blow the paint off your car if you aren't careful! Simply the most powerful leaf blower money can buy.
Wish I would have bought a year earlier - awesome machine

I am a homeowner with a lot of leaves - both my yard and my neighbors trees that drop leaves in my yard. I upgraded from a Husqvarna 150BTS to this monster. This is the perfect leaf blower for moving leaves and getting them to wherever you want them. Both my neighbors have Stihl BR600 Magnums and my 580BTS just flat out outperforms the Stihl. The straps are ideal and make a huge difference as you walk with this blower. I have zero complaints as its a professional machine and it fits my needs. Items you should be aware of are that it goes through the fuel. It has a large tank so it doesn't inter with the work, but be prepared to use lots of fuel. This machine is also loud, again large high performance engines are expected to be loud - however it is certainly going to be heard by everyone. I wear ear plugs and then over the ear muffs to keep the noise at bay. The weight isn't noticeable on your back if you are in decent shape, however its not light. For example my 11 year old can operate it, but I have to put it on him as he can't really pick it up and get it buckled. If you have lots of leaves buy this machine and you will be stunned with the performance.

In a class of it's own

About Me Professional
I could go on for pages about this blower. I bought one when they first came out with the intention of using it only for leaf cleanups. To my surprise, it has replaced both my trusty old Shindaiwa EB-630 blower and my Billy Goat 10hp wheel blower. I simply don't have the need or desire to use any other blower. I use my 580 extensively and exclusively. The 580 is large and heavy but thanks to an excellent harness system it's pretty comfortable. Yes, I'm ready to take it off after burning a tank of fuel, but the amount of work this machine will do with one tank of fuel is nothing short of amazing. My only complaint is, as other's have mentioned, that being tall I find the tubes to be a bit short and in order to scour stuck leaves I need to point the discharge almost straight down near my feet. This causes "backwash" behind me which I need to step back and clean up. I tried the high velocity nozzle but find that it torques the tube too hard at any significant throttle to be used for any length of time. My solution was to buy an extra length of tube which I will add for some conditions. I run it in the factory configuration most of the time though. Mechanically the unit has held up well. It has been very reliable. I did break a wire where it goes into the engine, I broke the swivel portion of the tube when I slipped and fell on a slope, the detent for "stop" is now a bit worn and a bit too easy to accidentally hit into the off position, and the hip belt fabric is worn through in a small area from rubbing against the elbow. Not bad for how many hours I have on this machine. I still haven't found the need to replace the air filter and have replaced the spark plug just once. The 580 is big, heavy, loud, doesn't start particularly easily and goes through a lot of fuel. If any of those issues bother you, don't buy it. But if you want the most powerful, most productive backpack blower on the market, go get one. It truly is in a class of it's own!
