I use a blower for residential use about once a week or so. I'd prefer a 4-cycle engine, but I don't want to strap one to my back. I have tried a number of brands, and had gotten used to the idea that I may get maybe two years of use before a new one is needed. I've never met a long-term 2-cycle tool of any type. But in 2008 I bought this model. It still runs, though it is beginning to show its age. It is getting harder to start and stay running. But considering that I have done absolutely NOTHING to maintain it, six years is a magnificent run! Today, after over six years, I broke down and purchased a new blower. I asked around and got many different opinions, but I stuck with what I already know is a good engine. Today I purchased the same model again, and it too started on the first pull. I then cranked up the old one for old time's sake. Six years for this price is a value. My only issue is that the air intake is on the side, fine if you're right-handed. But everything is made for right-handers. That stinks. It sometimes grabs my clothes.

Purchased my Husqvarna 125B about a year ago from Lowes based on Consumer Digest and product reviews. I liked the features over comparable products. This spring when I added gas and started it, it was leaking gas. Determined the gas lines were rotted where the go through the grommet into the fuel tank. The rest of the fuel line is intact. The online reviews confirm this is a recurring problem. Whether it is due to poor quality fuel lines, incompatible components, or heat related because of where the fuel lines are in relation to the cylinder, there is a problem. Husqvarna's explanation blames ethanol in the fuel. Fuel lines just do not rot in 6 months! I own 3 other Completers products that have no problems with fuel lines in 3 years of ownership. Reviews indicate returning it to a service station for warranty repair is a waste of time. They will not cover the fuel lines. I replace the fuel lines myself in 30 min. But I shouldn't have to do this every year.In checking Husqvarna's other products in store, and found the fuel line is black rubber compound. It appears you found a solution by replacing the fuel line with a better quality part. Husqvarna needs to repair/replace those that will not work or supply us with repair kits so we can repair. Since the warranty repair is worthless. I have always has high regard for Husky products. I will re-consider Husky because of the fuel problems and poor engineering in the future. Wish Husquvarna would come up with a good repair solution and stand by there products.I would be happy to send you what is left of the fuel lines in exchange. Fuel Line Picture is attached.

A nice leaf blower

About Me Do-It-Yourself
Comments about 125B:
This is a really great leaf blower.........once you get it going. They say "easy to start" but there are 3 settings on the choke. You have to prime 10 pumps with the switch in one position. Then three pulls with it in another position and maybe it will start. Once you get it going it's great. Output air is phenomenal. I just think that if my Honda mower will start on one pull after priming then Husqvarna should be able to produce a leaf blower that will start on just one pull. It's easy to carry but does get a bit heavy after a while of using it.

Bought this brand new about 18 months ago. Always using Non Ehtanol fuel and properly mixing 50:1 gas to oil ratio. One month ago started to loose power and started suddenly to shuts off. After a minute got it running again with few pulls. A week ago the trigger/trottle lost respond and had it manually to pull it back. After I desidet ot get it apart saw the spring attached to the trottle wire was broken and wasn't usable. No matter what i was trying to do there was no blowing power like before. It almost was like on idle with pulled the triger all the way. Along with that lost its power and trow it away. Lost $150 plus tax.

Love my husqvarna blower!
This is a wonderful machine. Remember, never use ethanol in anything you value.

If you use ANY two cycle engine infrequently, consider electric. If you want the power and convenience of gas AND won't go through a gallon in 2-3 months with stabilizer added then you MUST use "non ethanol" fuel. 95% of the problems mentioned here are fuel related. I go through fuel quickly but I still add stabilizer. I still replace my fuel filter every year. I replace the air filter every other year. I never use gas that is more than theee months old. I expect this will last me 15 years. I'm 8 years into this one with zero problems. I have rebuilt dozens of these engines for others. Leaving non stabilized or any fuel with ethanol in the system for 2 weeks can and will ruin these engines. Same goes for Stxxl, ecxxo etc etc. husqvarna makes a great product. This isn't a pro model, don't expect it to perform like one. For the typical homeowner that uses this once or twice a week, I highly recommend any husqvarna product. Remember ethanol free gas....it's more expensive but cheaper than having guys like me rebuild the fuel lines and the carb.

Power is great but the screws backs out of the housing that mounts the engine to case causing the blower fan to bind up. 2. Carburetor boot mount that attaches the carburetor to the intake screws back out. I have owned two, p both have the same problems.

About Me Professional
I picked this little thing up because it is extremely lightweight and well-designed, when you pick it up and compare it to the other big name brands, stil, echo. It just feels right. In fact when were bowling leaves around during fall cleanup I reach for this thing first before the echo, because it's not bulky and lightweight. It has plenty of power, but can be a little stubborn to start at times. That being said the engine that comes with it is nothing more than a Poulan, and if your fuel lines don't rot out first you will get about two years out of this unit. All this said for a few dollars more and if you don't mind bulky and a little bit heavy you can pick up an echo at HD for around the same amount of money and they will last literally forever, however they are a little bit more bulky, don't blow as hard, however they are extremely quiet model pb-250ln. I am a Husqvarna fan been using their trimmers for years so I'm not biased towards any other brands just saying this blower, blows haha. Especially for homeowners just trust me and go with it Echo brand at depot. Unless you want to go to a dealer and drop three hundred bucks on a stil, yes I know how to spell that name brand correctly but they won't let me say it here
No Problems-Works Great
from Detroit, MI
I bought mine about 3 yrs ago. I had read about the fuel and carburetor problems before buying it. I saw one at Fleet Farm sitting on the top shelf priced at quite a discount. I asked about it and found out it had been returned to the company and they had made the adjustments needed for it to preform. So, for a good price I decided to take a chance. It has never failed once to start or quit running. Great power. Very happy with it.
