Disappointed We purchased our mower approx 3 years ago. It was a significant investment for us but we wanted to make sure we had something that would last. I mow a good chunk of lawn each week with it (about 3.5 hours from start to finish), so I realize that I've put it through more use than most people will in 10 years time. However, I'm flat out disappointed. The machine is falling apart. The rear wheels don't pull anymore, all of the tires are shot, I've replaced the self-propel cable already because it snapped. I'm going back to a cheap push one like the one I owned for 12 years that stood up to more wear than this one. Ridiculous price for a piece of junk. June 28, 2015
Great Mower for the price I do landscaping and have everything Husqvarna (Backpack Blowers, trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, etc.) and they have all performed amazingly so I bought this mower for my landscaping business. When I bought it I realized that it obviously isn't a commercial mower. I have had this mower since February and use it on around 20 lawns a week and it still runs perfectly and starts first pull. The only thing that broke on it was the part that holds the pull cord up (it vibrated off) which didn't surprise me since I use this mower way more than it was intended for. I went down to my dealer and ordered the part for $5 and it came in a few days. I love Husqvarna and would definitely recommend this mower to anyone! June 28, 2015
Great mower Well made and perfect for my needs. Another fine product. June 26, 2015
Cheap I have personally been through three of the mowers and all were bought at Lowes. The first mower decided it did not want to start anymore. The second mower decided the same thing about not wanting to start and the wheel adjusters broke. The third and the worst! The transmission went out and if it does you can by no means try and just push this mower through Saint Augustien! I finally decided that I would try and have it fixed by a dealer and they have had the mower for over 4 months because of the parts being on back order! When parts are on back order that means that there are a lot of mowers doing the same thing cause there is a high demand for the parts! By the time you have had to have it fixed you could have bought a new mower! June 4, 2015
From Craftsman to Husqvarna and not looking back For the last 5 years I've used a Craftsman mower that treated me well. I decided it was time to upgrade and found a great deal in a Husqvarna. Let me tell you, it's the best mower I've ever used since I was a kid helping my dad with trim work. It's powerful enough to cut through taller grass without bogging down, quiet enough to bother the kids watching a movie with the windows open, and the Honda engine is much more fuel efficient than the Briggs & Stratton on my Craftsman. There's a plug in the fuel line in the perfect place to drain fuel for winter storage, and the quick disconnect for deck cleaning is an excellent feature. Overall I recommend this mower to anyone who wants a real high quality machine. OH, and it looks really nice too! May 30, 2015
MY 2013 HU 800 AWD IN MARCH OF 2013 I WENT A PURCHASED A HUSQVARNA HU 800 AWD FROM LANGS OUTDOOR POWER EQUIP IN MARIETTA OHIO MY LOCAL DEALER. I HAD A HUSQVARNA HU 700 L AND MY DAD HAD A SNAPPER SELF PROPELLED WE TRADED BOTH MOWERS AND $150.00 TO GET THE HU 800 AWD IT HAS BEEN A AWSOME MOWER IT HAS THE 190 CC HONDA ENGINE AND IT HAS PLENTY OF POWER TO GO THROUGH TALL SPRING GRASS . EVEN DOES A AWSOME JOB IN THE FALL WHEN IT'S TIME TO MULCH LEAVES AT MY HOUSE AND A FEW NEIGHBORS THAT I MOW FOR. I USUALLY MOW AT THREE INCHES ALL SUMMER LONG THEN IN THE FALL ABOUT MIDDLE SEPTEMBER I USUALLY SET IT AT 21/2 AND LEAVE IT SET THEIR FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON. I DID PUT A NEW BLADE ON IN SPRING 2014 BUT SAVED THE BLADE THAT CAME ON IT AS A SPARE BLADE JUST INCASE I WOULD EVER HAVE TO PUT IT BACK ON. I HAVE USED THE DECK WASH OUT ADAPTER SEVERAL TIMES IT WORKS GREAT IF THE GRASS IS NOT BULT UP UNDER DECK VERY BAD . IF IT IS PACKED WITH GRASS THEN I USE MY SCRAPER AND MY 30 GALLON AIR COMPRESSOR SET AT 100 PSI TO BLOW OUT UNDER MOWER DECK AFTER USING THE SCRAPER AND THAT WORKS OUT VERY WELL ALSO THEIR IS ALOT OF TIMES I CAN JUST USE MY 30 GALLON AIR COMPRESSOR TO BLOW OUT THE UNDERNEATH OF MOWER DECK. I HAVE EVEN USED THE BAGGER FOR CLEANING UP MY YARD AND MY NEIGHBOR'S YARD IN THE SPRING. I HAVE EVEN ALSO USED MY DISCHARGE CHUTE ALOT IN THE SUMMER IF THE GRASS IS REALLY THICK AND TALL. NOW MY MOWER IS THREE YEARS OLD AND IS STILL RUNNING LIKE IT DID THE DAY I BOUGHT IT I BELIEVE THE HONDA ENGINE IS THE WAY TO GO. MY LOCAL DEALER PUT IT TOGETHER SO I DIDNT HAVE TO FOOL WITH THAT PART OF IT AT ALL WHICH WAS REALLY GREAT JUST BROUGHT IT HOME AND MOWED WITH IT THE VERY SAME DAY FOR ABOUT 2 1/2 HOURS THAT DAY. Hardest starting mower we have ever owned. Does everything it claims to do with ease, love the AWD. BUT, it takes 5-7 sharp pulls to start every time. We got rid of a 6 year Old craftsman that would start on the first pull after setting in the shed all winter. New plugs, filter, tune up...nothing helps. Will have to get rid of it in a couple of years as we'll be too old to start it. March 3, 2015
climbs any hill we live on a hill and a normal rear or front wheel drive just wont get the job done our last mower give it up so we looked around and seen this AWD mower and the Honda engine and it was a no brainer the mower starts on the first pull except in cold weather then it takes two pulls the only issue is when you pull backwards on the mower it is hard unless you push forward then backwards not sure why otherwise a great mower November 9, 2014
