New Saw - 359
Just bought a new 359 to help with my firewood needs. I currently have a 346XP and a 136. All my saws are great. Yet to have a major problem with any Husqvarna product. My new saw starts even better than the others and it is really smooth when cutting.

Durable
I bought my 359 E-TECH in 2004 (8 years ago) to clear a couple acres for my house. I wanted a Husqvarna because thats what my father used my entire childhood without problems. I'm very happy with my saw, have had zero problems. It does take 6-8 pulls to start though. Great saw!

Great saw
I have had this saw for several years with a 24 inch bar. I fell 50+ oak and fir trees every year for firewood for several families. This saw has taken down 36" oak trees to 30+ inch Douglas Fir trees. Never quit, never bogged down, has plenty of power if you don't try to force it. Only repair other than yearly maintenance was a new bar four years ago. Great saw and would recommend it to anyone who cuts firewood, prunes trees, or needs a good saw for around the ranch maintenance.

excellent saw
i bought this 359 2 months ago and ran it extensively as i usually do a saw. i love the power to weight ratio, it cant be beat! easy to start, maintain, my 4th husky i have owned for the last 16 years. my first was a 257 and i loved it i traded it in on a 371 to accomodate my tree and firewood business. 2nd best saw i ever owned, a friend borrowed it and ran it with strait premium and no mix and i guess u know the rest! so i traded it in on a 575 and hated it, too much emission restrictions, wouldn't idle, stalling all the time, had 2 ignition modules put in it, saw was a cow to run, especially with a 3' bar!, so i almost bought a dolmar and a johnsred, but a friend at the saw shop persuaded me to try this 359, with which the 257 was replaced with, took it to the site took down 3 enormous poplar trees and it reminded me of my 371 with a quarter of the weight! wat power i could see me runnin a 2' er or a 28" bar on this fellow with no problem. i am convienced that husky is the holy grail of saws 1nce more, everyone buy 1!

Light weight power
I love the light weight, easy starting & low vibration.
When I hit the trigger, it's up to full speed now & maintains it thru the cut.
My first new saw in over 20 years so it is a great upgrade for me. 15 full cords so far & plenty of power for a 20" full chisel chain. The light weight makes it easy to handle felling/liming trees & cutting firewood.
A good mid range saw with great features at a good price.
Did I mention "it starts easy"

359 rocks
I bought my 359 and higgins energy in Barre ma. They assembled it on the spot and answered every question I had. There is not a better saw for a ratio of power/weight/price. I used it to clear an 800 foot driveway, and over an acre of land for my new house. 24-36 diameter trees were the norm. It handled everything, but did tend to bog down a bit on the 36 inch trees, which was not a surprise. You can't expect a 3.9 horsepower saw to cut through 36 inch diameter trees like butter. But in the end it cut everything I needed. And unfortunately I beat the heck out of it but it kept on going. A friend used it a few times, saw got jammed in a tree, popped out when the tree started falling and witnessed the bottom part of the tree bouncing and landing on the s
aw. It happened more than once, but the thing kept working
flawlessly. I thought the power to weight ratio was perfect.
Enough power to tackle just bought anything, but light enough
so my arms did not fatigue after a day of cutting. It's a good
all around saw.

need a new saw
, Husqvarna! I've had my saw for 3 years in that time the spark plug has blown out of the head twiuce, the bar and chain has fallen off three times and yeesterday the muffler fell off. I'm 60 years old and have been cutting wood most of my life so I'm no novice. This is absolutly the worst saw I've ever owned. I thought this would be the last saw I would ever have to but and noe I have to go and find a more reliable one. Thanks for nothing guys.
