Comments about Hatchet:
for Durability i gave it four stars because on my hatchet there is a little gape in the back above the handle otherwise it is perfect the grain orientation is excellent i wish if the handle length was 19" cause the axe head is perfect for it

BUT THIS HATCHET
About Me Novice
If you are thinking about purchasing this tool BUT IT. For its price this is of extremely high value. High quality handforged Swedish steel and beautiful durable handles. NO VARNISH. Instead the handle has a light coat of oil on it. The axes does not come razor sharp but has a decent edge. It also comes with a leather sheath that is of decent quality.

This is a great little hatchet with good ergonomics. I also love the forged steel blade. I hope that they continue to make them this way.

I received my hatchet today and it seems to be of good quality. The head looks great and the grind is good. The grain orientation of the hande is just ok, not as straight as I would expect from a sweedish axe. The only thing I am not thrilled with is that where the round steel wedge is driven in the wood is split from the wedge to the hatchet head. Only time will tell if the handle will loosten up.

When I bought this hatchet Husqvarna was in the middle of a model change in thier hatchet and axe. The website listings are now correct for models available to buy so my review I wrote at that time will not be available to potential buyers. So for those looking seriously for a well made hatchet I am writting it again. To sum it up easily you will not find a better Sweedish hand forged steel head hatchet for your hard earned dollar at Husqvarna's asking price.
