An Exclusive Peek at our Championship Saws

World Logging Championships are about to begin, but before we launch into our coverage of the competition, we wanted to give all our chainsaw enthusiasts a look into how our two championship chainsaws, 576 XP & 372 XP, came to be!

Why were these championship chainsaws created?

When the 576 XP was created, we aimed at making a chainsaw that not only came equipped with an X-Torq engine, but also had AutoTune which adjusts the carburetor settings to give optimal engine performance and fuel economy – as well as the best ergonomics in its class. Knowing our professional customers and the harsh environment they work in on a daily basis, we ensured the 576 XP had the ability to meet their demands. The 576 XP was the first XP chainsaw Husqvarna developed equipped with X-Torq technology. Since then, almost all of our XP chainsaws share the same engine technology. When it came to the 372 XP X-Torq, we already had a splendid chainsaw in the 372 XP. The only thing the "old" 372 XP was lacking was an engine that met the coming demands of emissions regulations at the time. Knowing the 372 XP was very popular, we based the succeeding model on the already existing platform and of course further developed the product.

General Facts:

Husqvarna 576 XP™

Husqvarna's most advanced 70 cc chainsaw and a favorite amongst professionals. The X-Torq® engine provides high torque over a very wide rpm range, exerts low levels of exhaust emission, and is low on fuel consumption. 576 XP has Smart Start® for easy starting and Air Injection for stronger and longer runs (not to mention the ergonomically improved handles).

Husqvarna 372 XP™

Used by professionals for very demanding practices, it is ideal for tree felling, but also general logging. With an extra heavy-duty crankcase and crankshaft, as well as a carburetor with vibration dampening, 372 XP can handle high speeds and high loads. The chainsaw ticks all the boxes for low weight, high power and rapid acceleration with flexible operation.
