Works great up in the Great White North of Michigan
By Big Lou Racing
from The great white north of Michigan .
LOVE it , my only thing bad I can say is that I feel is that the handle is weak for the size and weight of the machine. I ended up buying the braces that come on the big Cubcadet and it solved the problem . I have used it in 20 inches of snow and had no problems . Starts rite up! It is a beast! The lights and hand warmers are a big plus. I wold love to see them mount a battery on it so I would not need 110 volt to start.

Great Machine - Husky 330P Snowblower
from Moncton NB Canada
Bought this blower in the hopes it would be the last blower I ever bought. I think I chose correctly!Things they got right:- Large Tires- 4 blade cast iron impeller- Soft tip guides at throat and tip of chute to allow for crusty build up of snow and easy removal- Chute controls are easy and aren't counter intuitive (point and shoot)Only Draw Back:I'm a tall man and it's a shame the removable pins on the handle don't have multiple holes to make the handles adjustable for height.**Strongly Recommended**

poor in all categories
from Marquette, MI
A friend of mine who became disabled bought this machine last year. I just finished blowing out his large driveway with it and couldn't be more dissatisfied with the overall job this beast does moving snow. The controls are sluggish, the noise and vibration are extreme, the distance it throws snow is short and if you try to use the whole 30" width the snow spills out the other side. I have a much smaller Honda that does twice the work this machine does. Blows much farther, is about half the weight and is much quieter. Yes the Honda is more expensive but well worth it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Its a beast and easy to use!
By Great White North!!
from Northwest Michigan
The hydro/static transmission takes the back breaking work out of snow removal. We get a lot of snow here in Northwest Michigan, and this beast eats whatever Winter can throw at it. Love this Beast ST 330P.

Like the Hydros!
from Nashua, NH
I live in southern NH so this snow thrower will get a lot of use. I have only used it on two small storms so far. I have already been sold on the ease of use of the hydro drives. It gives you the ability to control speed and direction without stopping to shift. The machine is powerful with great throwing distance and doesn't clog on the heavy snow left by the road plows. I did find some things that could be better though: * Difficult to tip back for going over lawn to make a path, it takes a lot of weight on the handle grips. I know this is a big machine but it's not as well balanced as my old 27" Simplicity. * Won't clear snow all the way to the driveway, it leaves 1/4"-3/8". I usually set my scraper bar to remove all the snow from my asphalt driveway but this scraper can't be adjusted this close. * Need turnbuckle in both snow discharge direction chute control cables so you can set the movement range to both stops.

After using an old Craftsman/Murray 10HP snowthrower for 18 years, it was time to get a new one. After considerable research, I decided on the new generation ST330P. I had my first opportunity to use it when a large storm dumped two feet of wet heavy snow in Northeast New York. In short, this machine is excellent. It handled the heavy spackle grade snow easily. The new LCT engine performed very well and loaded up nicely when I hit the dump from the snowplow. The engine seems to be very well designed with close attention paid to detail, ie, there is a channel on the gas tank to channel away from the muffler any gasoline spillage during filling. The controls on the unit are well laid out and easy to use. The hydrostatic transmission will take some getting used to if you are accustomed to a friction disk drive system. The LED light did a good job of illuminating the clearing area. The overall construction of the unit is solid and well assembled. The new four-bladed cast iron impeller did a very good job of throwing the wet snow, without any chute clogs. My only criticisms would be that both power steering triggers must be pulled in order to move the machine around in free-wheel mode. I understand that this is just the way that a hydrostatic drive system works. It will take a little getting used to. Also. some grease zerks on the auger shafts would be helpful for lubrication. Shear bolts are useless if the augurs rust to the driveshafts. The infinitely variable speed range of the hydrostatic transmission is really nice. I was able to crawl the unit through the snowplow dump at the end of the driveway. For those of you that plan on using this machine to clear paver walks or patios, I would suggest using the supplied plastic augur housing skids to avoid scrapes. In summary, I think that Husqvarna's redesigned snowthrower is well thought out and solidly built. Admittedly, this review is based on a first use in a single snowstorm, but it was a nasty storm and the unit got a serious workout.
