Comments about ST 327P:
My snowblower is only 1-1/2 years old model ST370 went to check belts found plastic idler pullys for auger and drive system. Why would you built a idler pully out of plastic that is under a lot if friction and tork to save a few dollars. On top of that I noticed hydrostatic transmission oil leaking. Nor'easter coming in a few days and it's in shop.should have bought an Ariens.

Not Worth The Money
By Mountain-Man Mark
from North Adams MA.
The machine has plenty of power but is sadly lacking in strength. It throws snow up and over the hills I have, but blows shear pins on the littlest things. They built the auger out of thin tubing and try to protect it from being torn apart by under sizing the shear pins. First snow of the season you hit all kinds of stuff. I hit my neighbor's plastic blow up children's float ring. My old snowblower that was weaker would have chewed it up and split it out but this thing blew a shear pin. So back to the shed and found the shear pin was much smaller than my old snowblower. Old shear pin was 5/16 x 1-1/2. This shear pin looks like a #12 bolt with 1/4-20 thread. Even with that small of a shear pin it managed to bend the tubing of the auger when it blew. The controls for the chute are very difficult to use. I have a cross shaped driveway and have to constantly move the chute to direct the snow out of the way. Everything has a lock that must be freed before you can move it. You have to push in before you can move the chute up or down. You have to push up before you can move the chute left or right. NOTHING about the auger control is easy or intuitive.

I find the machine should have more power when using it in reverse, I have to almost drag it sometimes. It's useless in heavy wet snow unless you blow the snow immediately after it falls.

Comments about Husqvarna ST 327P:
This thing is great. If I lived in town I could throw snow into my neighbor's driveway. Tons of power and throws the snow a mile. Only issue I've had is with the power steering. Sometimes it pulls one way or the other and occasionally I experience a "neutral condition" and it won't move under it's own power. If I could disable the power steering system this would be a five star snow thrower.

Cuts through 3 feet of snow that is 3 days old! Heated handles, LED headlights and no belt to loosen and fall off. Took only a few minutes to do what would have taken hours before! It was assembled with has on delivery. As a woman I find it easy to use and salesman took the time to educate us on it.

Works well on my driveway.
I have been using a 2 cycle snow thrower for twenty years. I test drove one other brand and knew right away that the hydrostatic drive would be essential to be able to work the heavier snows and keep control over the machine. Using a back and forth pattern is no problem. It responds well, and goes forward quickly if you want. This makes clearing my drive much faster, and it makes short work of the piled snow from the ploughing at the end of the driveway.

You'll be replacing tires every 2-3 years
Husqvarna is apparently using sub-standard tires on their snow throwers They rot off the rims after 3 years. Mine is 4 years old with less than 10 hours and in like new condition...except for the tires that is.....so weather checked they won't hold air. Always kept in a heated garage. Of course because it's beyond the warranty Husqvarna won't lift a finger. Meanwhile the tires on my 20 year old Ariens are perfectly fine.
