I really love this machine. I purchased a top of the line mower in 2008. I started having major problems with it last yr. Should have purchased this then. I love the easy start, Briggs and Stratton motor, the bagging, the ease of the self propel, the clutch brake (I would never buy without that), the water wash out, just everything. There is not one thing I do not like about it. It is light yrs ahead of the one I had, and less expensive to buy that same brand again. I go very much by the reviews on Amazon and, also, Consumers Digest. I found that all of the more negative reviews did not pertain to my experience. I am so glad I got this. I love Amazon and the fact is was delivered to my doorstep. Easy to assemble. I was raised on a small farm, am in my late '60s and have no problem using this mower. I have handled many machines in my lifetime. This is one of the nicest. I love the plastic piece under the bag where it attaches. It is flatter than the one I had, which would disappear while going backwards. Also, I have had no problems pulling the mower in reverse. I noticed that some said it didn't release very well. It has for me! Again, so happy I got it.

I bought it at Lowes last year and within the first month I had problems and needed to exchange the mower. Now less than a year later the mower won't start at all. Husqvarna claims it's a Briggs and straton problem and they are saying it's husqvarna responsibility. Either way I've been out of a $400 mower for a month now and probably gonna have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. Very unhappy with the customer service husqvarna has provided. Will NEVER purchase another Husqvarna product again.

Comments about HU725AWD Walk Behind Mower:
This mower is the most expensive push mower i have ever purchased. my prior experience with husqvarna products up until this had been good, but this mower is so bad i doubt i will ever purchase another husqvarna product again. i haven't owned it a full 2 years and it is almost nonfunctional. it's inside of a garage when not in use and it barley cranks and then only runs for about 45 minutes until it dies and will not re-crank until cooled. maybe its because i got the briggs & stratton motor idk, but it is the worst, i hate it, do not buy. buying a new carb for it then will buy another mower before i spend another penny on this piece of garbage. pathetic really. not what i expected for over $400 or from a company like husqvarna.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Big piece Of Garbage
from Columbus Ohio
Biggest piece of garbage I have ever bought no wonder it has been discontinued. This is supposed to be a mulching mower and clumps of gass are left behind on every pass. This is also the slowest self propelled mower I have ever used. I would never buy anything that Husqvarna makes again. EVER!!!!!

Same horrible experience as everyone else.
If this company had any character they aould exchange these models for people that own them.
Horrible customer service and poor quality product
I just spent 20 minutes on hold on the phone after talking to someone from Husqvarna trying to replace a broke mulch door on my mower, then they hung up on me. Called back, got someone else and they said they can't send a replacement part and that I'd have to bring the entire unit to a Husqvarna repair shop to honor the warranty. This is not the way to do business folks. The part broke the very first time I used the mower and then you won't send a part so I can fix it? This was my fist Husqvarna purchase and certainly will be my last.
Good Then Bad Mower
from Detroit, MI
Bought the 2015 AWD or 4 Wheel drive in early mowing season to mow a small rental duplex lawn. The first year I had no complaints. Excellent, always started on the first or second pull. Terrible design that has no drain plug for the oil: "what in the world where the engineers thinking"? Bought a house in April of 2016 and only use the mower for trim work or bagging my rider's discharged grass. Less than ten hours this year of operating time. After my last use (Sept.) this year the drive train locked up, so it sets in my shed not being used. Not a well built mower that has broken with so few hours on the machine. Will not buy another Husqvarna product.

Buy something with a Honda engine
The first year with this thing was great. The following 2 years were not so fun. The AWD cable snapped, the top fairing broke and the engine started to die intermittently and ran at very low RPMs. Upon further review this model has had quite a few problems with the engine idling low and dying. I highly recommend you get one upgraded to the Honda motor. All that aside, its easy to operate and very comfortable. I love the 4-stroke option. Makes things very simple. I have it in for warranty work and if I continue to have problems I will be quite put out.
I hate this mower
It is only one year old. I use premium gas. It is kept inside. It only starts when it wants to. If you need to mow your yard and don't like dealing with equipment that is tentative at best, buy something else.
Broke after 1.5 years. Poor Motor design Briggs and Stratton
Oil Pan broke after I hit a small tree stump. Overall I was happy with the purchase, but frown upon the design on the motor. Easily starts every time as stated. One thing to watch out for is the side discharge, the Cheap plastic part that holds open the flap and shoots it side ways broke off for the side discharge and now it won't stay in place, so I tossed it away and used a piece of rope to hold the flap open. Overall, I would not recommend this briggs and stratton motor due to its cheap design and good luck finding replacement parts. The honda motor is probably a better design with more oomph. I am going to try and fix the oil pan and if it doesn't work, I'll just replace the whole motor since its cheaper than rebuilding it.. I do like the awd system though, it has helped me a lot at cutting the side of a hill, but does not like tall grass over 1/2 ft long.
DO NOT BUY!!!
About Me Professional
I used this mower for 2 years. one year into it the blade would not spin, to fix it i tightened up the blade belt but the power was not there. In that case i messed with the carburetor to make the blade and wheels go faster! I thought it was good because the yards i mow got done faster until the motor cracked in 2 of the 3 places it bolts to the deck!! Now the mower is used for spare parts! Too much hassle and messing the the mower to perform correctly for yard work!
After a few uses, won't start. No choke, throttle, controls
By I Just Want to Mow
from Boston, MA
I have bought Husky products for years, but after this mower, I will never do so again.Do a quick surf of the web - no one can restart these things. To make it "simple", the mower provides no choke, throttle, etc. making it impossible to do anything other than pulling the cord. Shorty of dis-assembling an almost new mower to troubleshoot, I am forced to waste a huge amount of my time/money on a service call. Here's a better solution for me - never by anything from Husquvarna again. Buyer beware - they use to make great equipment, but now it is just a cheap, worthless brand.
